Good questions, my take is: 1. Mudiay will score better when he chooses to shoot straight up and down (in a no fade zone) and become a better point guard overall when he realizes that Murray is a serious competitor to be a leader at the 1 or the 2 spot. 2. The team, the press and even Faried himself has been very quiet this preseason about Faried’s role and his amount of acceptance of it. Faried usually is very willing to speak up for himself, which makes me guess that Connelly has a gentleman’s agreement with Faried that he will trade him during the first half of the season if Faried does not like his role with Nurkic and Jokic this year. 3. Again, due to roster construction, Stokes will be the 15th man on the roster and he added to that vote of confidence by making impact plays at the end of the last two games. 4. Murray is a baller. He knows how to create and make shots for himself and others. He is this dual threat because of his ability to control his dribble while keeping his vision on his teammates or on the basket to score if his defender overplays him. 5. No, Barton is not locked in as the starting 2-guard only because our collection of combo guards (Mudiay, Harris, Murray, Barton and Beasley) is just Awesome!!!–Soon the best duo out of that group that produces wins will start no matter what their age or draft position.
It is going to be a great year.

Thanks for the take. Always appreciated.

Definitly with you that the competition from Murray could bring out the best in Mudiay. Let’s hope it does.
