On the latest BSN Broncos Podcast, Brandon Krisztal and Sam Cowhick take a look at the opening night matchup of the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers as the NFL season prepares to kick off.
While there are some similarities in these two teams, who met in Super Bowl 50 back in February, there are some important differences to look to that may have a drastic impact on the outcome of this game. For the Panthers, you have wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin returning and the Panthers defense lost Josh Norman, who has been replaced by a plethora of inexperienced corners.
On Denver’s side, the Broncos have a new starting quarterback in Trevor Siemian, a re-worked offensive line, and a new two-headed monster at running back in C.J. Anderson and Devontae Booker. Defensively, Von Miller appears to be trending up and the rest of the Broncos defense largely returns intact and looks to wreak havoc on once again on a cocky Panthers offense.
Finally, the guys reflect on the pass-rushing spoils the Broncos have and how utterly dominant they were in the championship run last season.
