The BSN Avalanche Podcast returns this week with hosts AJ Haefele and special guest Cole Hamilton, filling in for J.J. Jerez while he’s “on assignment” in Miami, dig into the nuts and bolts of Mikhail Grigorenko’s contract extension and where he realistically fits into the lineup next season and beyond.
The guys then transition to talking about the hiring of Nolan Pratt as a new assistant coach for the Avalanche and what it means for the group the Avalanche have assembled on their blue line.
The third and final non-Twitter segment features an in-depth discussion about the current Avalanche defense and how the guys expect it to look on opening night and how it could potentially change as the season wears on. If you like defensemen talk, this is the segment for you.
As always, thank you for listening and here’s your audio:

I wish we had a web-cam that looks out that window. There’s apparently some interesting stuff going on out there.
Are you guys getting tired of kicking the Post’s butt all over the Front Range? The information in this podcast was tremendous, so thank you!
