Your assessment of Juancho is ridiculous. He started out slow as you could tell he was nervous. However, despite that he was still active on the glass.

He also displayed a soft touch around the rim, passing ability, and an ability to make good reads.

And as far as his defense goes, he single-handedly forced a turnover on a hedge in which he walked Payne out of bounds. His defense wasn’t as bad as you made it happen.

If you’re going to bury a guy after one game at least provide an even handed description of his positives and negatives in that game. Don’t ignore his best defensive play in that game.

agree – he looked more than fine to me

If Juancho is supposed to play PF, he got manhandled. But that’s not his position now or when he puts on some more weight. Payne did the only thing he’s good at, bang. I saw a pretty confident kid, not deer in the headlights. He probably won’t stay but it’s not because he can’t.

I actually thought juancho looked more than fine out there – but the main contributors were mudiay – harris – jimmer (6assists). Murray got going late though – struggled the first half but looked good eventually – although his ball handling seemed a bit rough.
