The Colorado Buffaloes football program got a big time commit on Tuesday, Tyler Lytle, a six-foot-five, 205-pound quarterback from Servite High School in Anaheim, CA has given the University of Colorado his word. The pro-style passer is a three-star recruit according to Rivals and 24/7, and is a member of the ESPN 300.

Among the 25 plus schools that offered the three-star QB were Arizona State, Boston College, California, Colorado State, Fresno State, Illinois, Miami, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Vanderbilt, Washington State, Wyoming and Yale. Ranked as a four-star by ESPN, the site says of him, “Lytle is tall, strong armed quarterback prospect with deceptive athleticism. His delivery is a bit unorthodox but he gets the ball out quickly with plenty of zip. Overall, he’s a very good looking prospect.”

Lytle told Rivals, “Colorado felt like home to me, I have a great relationship with the coaches, that was key. They communicated with me on a daily basis and Coach Mac (Mike MacIntyre), Coach Chev (Darrin Chiaverini and Coach (Brian) Lindgren went out of their way to let me know I was their guy for the 2017 class… The program is ripe for a turn around, there are a lot of recruits looking at Colorado right now, a lot more than anyone thinks and we have a chance to have one of the best classes in the Pac-12.”

“I’d like to thank God, family, coaches, teachers and teammates for supporting me,” Lytle said on Twitter. “I would not have this opportunity without you. I’d also like to thank everyone who has recruited me and believed in me throughout this process. With that said, I’m committing to the University of Colorado.”
