And the stadium goes up! On a Tuesday.

In fact, construction of Colorado State’s new on-campus stadium is flying by because they take few days off (Sundays seem to be the only time the former, giant parking lot sits still as it’s transformed into a beautiful, new stadium).

If you live in Fort Collins, now’s a great time to drive by the stadium and look at the progress yourself. If you’re a Ram fan from far away, then we’ve got those pictures you so desire.

As you can see, the most notable difference from last week’s update is the addition of pre-cast concrete to the West stands’ 300 level, nearly covering it all (just the top of that southwest corner, the white steel, wasn’t covered in the first picture).

These photos look north from Lake Street and they scan from west to east from that perspective:

And this is a closer shot of the west stands, which are the most visually entertaining piece of the structure to this point:

Finally, some pics from Monday brought to you by Colorado State Football’s official Twitter account:

Finally, when asked about the cannon and if it’ll have a home in the new stadium, AD Joe Parker responded two days ago, relieving any Rams fan, because it will, indeed, be there:

That’s a good thing, because the cannon blasts before the game and following touchdowns remains as the oldest standing tradition sports-wise at Colorado State. Read about many CSU sporting traditions in our Ag Day cram session from last year, here.
