The final draft pick from the 2016 NFL Denver Broncos draft pick is about to sign. Paxton Lynch and the Denver Broncos have agreed to a 4 year deal with a 5th-year team option in 2020 as first reported by Mike Klis.

Lynch joins the rest of the Broncos rookie class and now all rookies have been signed to deals with the team. A vast difference from before the rookie wage scale was set by the new CBA in 2011 when high draft picks still weren’t under contract until midway through training camp.

The Memphis product is projected to make $9.48 million over the course of the deal, making him the second highest paid quarterback on the team in 2016 behind Mark Sanchez ($4.5 million base salary) and ahead of Trevor Siemian ($525,000 base salary). Lynch’s deal will likely include a signing bonus around $5 million dollars. Lynch is expected to sign the deal Thursday afternoon.
