Between last month’s NBA combine and this month’s draft, teams host individual and group workouts to get an up close and personal look at prospects in an unique environment.

Another chance front office’s have to see draft-eligible players in person are at various Pro Day events put on by sports agencies who want to showcase their prospects and NBA free agent clients.

Today, is the Relativity Sports Pro Day which is taking place at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and Nuggets general manager Tim Connelly is reportedly in attendance.

There are some names participating today that the Nuggets could have their eye on in next month’s draft where the Nuggets have five total picks.

The first name I’d take notice of is Juan Hernangomez, a 20-year-old forward who plays for Estudiantes in Spain. He’s versatile at 6-foot-9 with a capable jumper and smooth in-between game. Hernangomez is projected to get drafted towards the end of the first round but could use another year of seasoning in Europe, making him a possible draft-and-stash candidate for Denver.

Skal Labissiere is probably the biggest name at the Relativity workout today, and is projected as a late-lottery to mid first-round pick. He’s the ultimate low floor, high ceiling player in this class who had a terrible freshman year at Kentucky. Going into last year he was projected by many as the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft, but has dropped off significantly since.

Brice Johnson reportedly will visit Nuggets

The Nuggets should be hosting more pre-draft workouts next week at Pepsi Center as Kennedy also reported that Denver will host North Carolina big man Brice Johnson for a workout on June 9.

That ads to earlier reports that the Nuggets will bring in Isaiah Whitehead for a workout on June 10 and Brannen Green and Joel Bolomboy as well, although it’s not clear what dates the latter two will visit Denver. The Nuggets will also reportedly bring in Patricio Garino for a workout. Read more about Garino here.
