BSN Rockies Podcast: Larry Patrick talks Micky Mantle, Crosley Field and more

On this special episode of the BSN Rockies Podcast, Drew Creasman sits down with longtime sports journalist Larry Patrick. With so much history covering baseball — among other sports — the conversation stretches from the old Crosley Field to Micky Mantle, Yogi Berra and the ’61 Yankees and the relatively brief history of the Colorado Rockies.

After going through a bit of his own history, including how he got into sports broadcasting in the Army, Patrick tells some of his favorite baseball stories and muses on the ways the game and the media have changed over the years. Then, naturally, the guys embark on the mission of trying to figure out the Rockies and do a little campaigning for some of Denver’s all-time greats to start getting the recognition they deserve.
