Ryan Edwards Show EP3: Rockies on the Rise

Ryan welcomed in Jake Marsing (@JakeDMarsing), Broncos beat reporter for Scout.com, to the studio talk about the Broncos offseason workout program and Von Miller’s holdout. In the first segment, they also discussed a way to improve Round 1 of the NBA and playoffs and how Stanley Cup Playoffs are significantly better as far as competition goes. Ryan is bullish on the Rockies being better this season but Jake wants to reserve judgement for at least another week. Finally, they discussed the Broncos schedule being released and how expectations can’t be placed on the team until there is some certainty at the quarterback position.

In the second segment, they welcomed BSN Broncos reporter Sam Cowhick to talk about today’s press conferences of Aqib Talib and Emmanuel Sanders at Dove Valley. They asked him about Von Miller’s holdout and if the Broncos are getting a reputation as a team that “low-balls” their players. Sam answered a few questions on the future of the Broncos quarterback position this season.

In the third segment, Jake and Ryan debated the merit of an article saying the Broncos are being arrogant in their approach with free agents. Ryan references a poll he ran on Twitter asking whether fans will blame the Broncos organization or Von Miller more if a long-term contract isn’t reached by the start of the season.

In the final segment, the guys discussed what they are looking forward to this week and Ryan talks about being blocked on Twitter by @ryanedwards.
