Colorado State athletics will have a new play-by-play voice calling football and basketball games in 2016 to go along with the launching of the Rams Radio Network this spring on 102.9 KARS FM.

Veteran sportscaster Gary Miller has called the games for CSU for the past three seasons, and did a terrific job as the “voice of the Colorado State Rams.” Alongside Miller on radio broadcasts was long-time CSU affiliate Brian Roth. Together with his play-by-play duties, Miller also hosted shows the head coaches of the football team and both the men’s and women’s basketball programs.

Gary Miller is an experienced Colorado sportscaster, working for Denver’s CBS4 since 1991, and handled the Denver Broncos preseason play-by-play duties from 2004-10, which he received an Emmy for. Also, he enjoyed multiple stints covering professional and collegiate football, Miller was the voice of Colorado high school championships in both football and basketball for over a decade.

The veteran sportscaster could return to Fort Collins in the future, and tweeted that he would like an opportunity to.

Whatever the future holds for Miller, the Ram faithful wishes him nothing but the best and appreciates his efforts as the official voice of the Colorado State Rams for the past three seasons.

Miller was a sensational part of the “Ramily” in Fort Collins and enthusiasm for calling sports on the air was second to none. Not only should he be considered one of the top-notch sportscasters in Colorado, but the entire nation. He was always a class act within the media, greeting and conversing at length with the other members in a cordial fashion.

He will, without a doubt, be missed in Fort Collins.
