The Denver Broncos have done nearly a complete makeover on their offensive line, out with Ryan Harris, Luis Vasquez, Evan Mathis and likely Ryan Clady. In with Donald Stephenson, Russell Okung and the young talent the Broncos have within the organization.

On Monday, the Broncos’ official website caught up with Executive Vice President/General Manager John Elway, who talked about the moves and hinted towards the Broncos possibly making a few more up front.

“Those two bookends are a great starting point for us,” he told of Okung and Stephenson. “We knew that’s where we had to get better — especially on the offensive side.

“It gives us a lot of flexibility with the young guys with Ty [Sambrailo] and Max [Garcia] and [Matt] Paradis at the center, and [Michael] Schofield, we can do a lot of different things,” Elway added. “So it gives us a lot of flexibility, plus, going into the draft, we’ll see if we can bolster that position, also.”

Head coach Gary Kubiak echoed the sentiments of the GM.

“We need to improve from that standpoint,” he said of the line to DenverBroncos.com. “I think John [Elway] has taken the steps to give us the opportunity to do that. But we’ll get back to work, and those guys will be a big part of what we’re doing.”

“We’ve got a leader up front in Paradis,” he added. “We’ve got Max coming back; we think he’s got a chance to be a great player.”

The Denver Broncos are always looking to get better, this offseason they knew they had to improve their line, it was one of the main reasons for their quarterback and thus offensive struggles last year. With the additions they’ve already brought in, the talent they are developing inside and the potential of bringing in more, it looks already looks as if they will be much stronger in the trenches next season.
