Additions

QB Mark Sanchez
The Broncos acquired Sanchez in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles for a conditional 2017 draft pick.

OL Donald Stephenson
Stephenson is expected to sign with the Broncos on Wednesday when the new league year opens. Contract details in link.

RB C.J. Anderson

Signs a four-year $18 million deal with the Broncos, who matched that offer from the Miami Dolphins.

Subtractions

QB Brock Osweiler
Signs 4 year deal with Houston Texans for $72M and 37M guaranteed. Broncos likely to pursue 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick or Robert Griffin III

DE Malik Jackson
Signs six-year deal with Jacksonville Jaguars for $90M and $42M guaranteed.

LB Danny Trevathan
Signs deal with Chicago Bears

OL Ryan Harris

Signs two-year deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers

TE Owen Daniels
Released by team

LS Aaron Brewer
Released by team

OL Louis Vasquez
Released by team

S David Bruton
Signs 3 year, $9 million dollar contract with the Washington Redskins

OT Ryan Harris
Signs deal with Pittsburgh Steelers

Unrestricted Free Agents

A player whose contract has expired and has four or more tenured years in the league. He may sign with any other team with no restrictions. If a team loses more UFAs than it signs, they will be awarded “Compensatory Draft Picks” from the league. The value of the pick is determined by the difference of the contracts signed by the players lost and those acquired. If a team has signed an equal number or more UFAs than it has lost, no “Compensatory Picks” will be awarded.

OL Evan Mathis
Mathis will likely hit the open market to test the free agency waters, if the market value doesn’t suit his needs perhaps he could reunite with the Broncos in 2016.

TE Vernon Davis
Davis has said he wants to play in the NFL for 4 or 5 more years. With the return of one of Peyton Manning‘s favorite rehab practice targets, Jeff Heuerman, Davis spending those years in Denver is highly unlikely. UPDATE: Davis is visiting the Washington Redskins on Thursday

DL Antonio Smith
Antonio Smith may be a key re-signing for the Broncos now that Malik Jackson parts ways for a big contract.

S David Bruton
Despite how much the Broncos would like to keep Bruton around for his leadership and continual growth on the football field, his price tag will likely be too high to justify as the team’s third safety.

WR Andre Caldwell
With the emergence of Bennie Fowler and the added potential of Jordan “Sunshine” Taylor, Bubba Caldwell may have overstayed his welcome in Denver.

RB Ronnie Hillman
The Broncos haven’t offered Hillman a contract and will likely hit the open market looking for a new team after they tendered CJ Anderson.

S Omar Bolden
If Denver loses the services of David Bruton, the Broncos could likely justify paying Bolden as the top special teamer/third safety.

WR Jordan Norwood
If the price is right, Norwood could continue to add depth to Denver’s top targets.

OL Tyler Polumbus
Polumbus runs into the same issue as Ryan Harris, but his familiarity with Kubiak’s system could benefit him.

WR Kyle Williams
Never got a chance after tearing his ACL in the offseason. If he can show a clean bill of health, Williams could get a shot in training camp.

S Shiloh Keo
Keo was a feel good story throughout the playoff run but his DUI after the Super Bowl may keep him from getting his next contract in Denver.

WR Jace Davis
Denver signed Davis to a future contract in January but waived the former Norther Colorado prospect after being arrested for a DUI shortly thereafter.

Restricted Free Agents

A player whose contract has expired and has fewer than four tenured years in the league. He may sign an “Offer Sheet” with any other team, but his original team has seven days to match any offer he receives. If the original team does not match the offer, compensation will be awarded in the form of draft picks from the signing team. The round and quantity of picks are determined by the “Qualifying Offer” made by the player’s original team. If a RFA is tendered a minimum qualifying offer the compensation is the equivalent of the round in which that player was originally selected. If that player was originally a rookie free agent, no compensation is awarded.

LB Brandon Marshall
Tendered Contract

LB Larentee McCray
McCray showed promise as the best backup pass rusher before his injury and the emergence of Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett.

Exclusive Rights Free Agents

A player whose contract has expired and has three or fewer tenured years in the league. His original team must make a contract offer by the league-imposed deadline or the player becomes an unrestricted free agent.

LB Todd Davis – WR Bennie Fowler – C Matt Paradis -K Brandon McManus – C Sam Brenner
Denver will likely re-sign all of their ERFA players.
