Watch: Jasen Oden prepares for NFL Combine and Pro Day

Jasen Oden, all-around athlete.

Parabolic Performance and Rehab tweeted it themselves, Sunday morning.

It’s hard to miss that Oden started his college career as a defensive back with the Colorado State Rams and finished as a tough-nosed running back. He totaled 64 tackles, four tackles for a loss with an interception and a fumble recovery in two years as a DB. As a running back in 2014-15, Oden rushed for 1,022 yards with eight touchdowns.

Now, he’s just trying to make it into the NFL.

Last week, we interviewed Oden about his continued work toward two lifelong goals: graduating college and making it into the NFL. The 22-year old man tells much about his growing up on the rough streets of Buffalo, New York, his desire to help other down-and-out youth as well as his family by playing professional football.

Oden’s been training in New Jersey while alternating weeks and flying back to Fort Collins to finish his degree at Colorado Sate.

“When I’m here, I have to put in double the work,” Oden explained in the interview. “Extra time and overtime to get better. Rehabbing my shoulder to get it back to 100 percent.”

That’s right; Oden suffered a left shoulder injury mid-way through the 2015 season, which he believes hurt his chances of playing in college all-star games like six of his former teammates did. Still, he’s grinding to get better, to improve in the areas in which he’ll be tested at his Pro Day in March as he still holds on hope of being invited to the NFL Scouting Combine.

“At Parabolic our cutting edge approach bridges the gap between the healing process and sports performance,” Dr. Matt Cifelli, COO and partner of Parabolic Fitness and Rehab said. “We employ Doctorate-level physical therapists and nationally certified sports performance coaches who work together to treat and strengthen each athlete to maximize their individual potential.”

Oden’s not only working to improve his 40 time, his time in the cone drill and other Pro Day/Combine specific drills, he’s also rehabbing that injured shoulder. It’s why Parabolic works perfectly for him.

Here’s a look at Oden training for his Pro Day and/or the NFL Combine:
