After we dropped our story on the amazing “Master Body Worker” Adam Ster, there were many questions: What does he do? How does he do it? There were even questions about if the story is true at all. On Thursday, we caught up with a few of the Broncos who work with Ster to try and answer some of those questions and a few others as well.

Louis Vasquez

On working with Ster:

“I’ve been working with Adam for a number of years now. Over the years, he’s become a great friend of mine and he’s helped me stay on the field. His knowledge of the human body and just the way he observes the way we move and walk he can almost pinpoint what’s going on, the imbalances in your body. He’s been a tremendous asset that’s helped me stay healthy throughout the years.”

On the story about his high-ankle sprain only holding him out 10 days:

“At the time is was something I’d never experienced before. I was obviously younger and I had suffered a high-ankle sprain before and it did set me back a bit and I was a little worried that I was going to miss that much time. With treatment and working with Adam it helped way more than I ever expected, especially with an injury of that magnitude. It just goes to show how knowledgeable he is and how great of a tool he is, not only to keep us healthy but to get us back on the field.”

On Ster’s role in him being able to be full-go on Sunday:

“He’s one of the biggest tools I have, I see him as often as I can to make sure that I’m 100 -percent ready to go on Sunday.”

T.J. Ward

On working with Ster:

“I’ve been working with him for two weeks now, I just started. He’s been helping me get my ankle right and get my body right. I feel great right now, I probably feel the best I’ve felt all season, as far as the functionality in the rest of my body. My ankle is getting better, it’s still not 100 but as far as everything else I feel great.”

On Ster’s role in him being able to play on Sunday:

“Huge role, I feel as big of a role as anybody else I’ve used, including our training staff.”

On if Ster is a miracle worker:

“He knows some things and he does some work that I’ve never had done and never felt the way I feel afterward. When he tells you, ‘You’ll be better in this amount of days,’ or, ‘You should start feeling like this,’ he’s right on point.”

Chris Harris Jr.

On working with Ster:

“Oh man, Adam is great, man. He does great body work on us, he keeps us healthy all throughout the year, he’s become a friend of mine, he’s done pretty good with me for the past two years.”

On his role in making sure Harris could be on the field with his shoulder injury:

“He’s definitely important, the Broncos trainers have done a bunch, I’ve had a great team helping me, he’s done a bunch to help me get to where I can play.”

On how his shoulder is feeling:

“It’s feeling good man, ready to roll, I was able to play through it the last three games so one more won’t hurt me.”

On if the shoulder gets reaggravated easily:

“Oh yeah, definitely, it’s something that definitely happens. It happened last game, it happens all the time in the games. Now I know what the pain feels like, I can tolerate it and fight through it.

On his mindset this week:

“I’m just ready to play man, it seems like it’s taking forever for us to get out there on that field.”

Darian Stewart

On working with Ster:

“Adam man, he’s doing a good job man working with me, making sure all my movement is right and I don’t have any restrictions. I think he’s been a big part of why I’m moving so well these past couple weeks.”

On Ster’s role in him being on the field this week:

“He’s been big, man, just working with him every day this past week and in the past couple weeks. I just feel like he’s done a great job, he knows what’s going on with the body, he’s done amazing work.”

On what type of work he’s done with Ster:

“I’ve been doing a stretch routine to make sure my muscles fire right, it helps with injury prevention. I think that’s one reason why my MCL has been feeling so much better because my other muscles are taking pressure off of the knee, everything else is working smoothly.”

DeMarcus Ware

On working with Ster:

“He’s helped out a lot, he’s been with guys on the team for so long. It’s all about movement and the structure he brings, too. Every single day all of the guys go to him he does full-body reconstruction, I feel like.”

On Ster’s role in getting him healthy and young-looking these playoffs:

“It’s a big role, keeping my body fresh, keeping it mobile and just those little small nicks and bruises that you have here and there, he knows how to manipulate things —whether it’s some acupuncture point or whatever he’s doing— he helps out a lot with all the guys.”
