You will never, I repeat NEVER, have a championship team without a championship or at least serviceable offensive line. I don’t recall a Super Bowl winning team who didn’t have a decent O-line. But I do recall several Super Bowl winning teams who had journeyman, even (horrors) backup QBs under center like the Broncos do now. QB examples: Griese, Williams, Hostetler, Rypien, Dilfer, and Johnson were all journeymen or backups. They all had decent to very good offensive lines in front of them.

Sportswriters and fans who focus on the QB as the key problem will always miss the mark. That is a myopic view that is flat wrong. The offensive line will always be the #1 problem if you don’t have a pretty good one, at least.
