Max Borghi, an in-state product from Pomona High School, has given the Colorado Buffaloes his word. Borghi will follow in the footsteps of former high school teammate Jake Moretti, the top recruit in the 2017 class and head up the turnpike to Boulder.

The 5-foot-10, 186-pounder is listed as an athlete on most recruiting sites but currently plays running back for his high school and can also play at slot receiver as well as corner back. Borghi was in Boulder last weekend for what is called ‘recruit day’ but was formerly known as junior day.
The three-star recruit has some top-class speed, at one of his track meets last year, as a sophomore, he ran a 100-meter dash in 10.8 seconds and lists his forty time on his Hudl at 4.4 seconds.
Borghi was recruited by Darrin Chiaverini and Darian Hagan. He also held offers from Colorado State, Air Force, Nevada and Central Michigan.
He joins already committed local products safety Ray Robinson (Highlands Ranch High School) and quarterback Blake Stenstrom (Valor Christian) and tight end Walker Culver from Tennessee.
