Glad to see Kamenev getting some love – hopefully Beds plays him with more consistency and he proves to be a solid acquisition. I think he might be good enough for the second line.

Agree with these grades – just a fun game to watch! I actually do notice Nieto a couple of times, especially on the nice pass to Mac on that high speed rush.

Golly gee AJ–thanks for the fun grades, but I believe that you grade way too easy on the wins and a little too hard on the losses. For me Mac did not deserve an A. He is still playing around with the puck and loosing it way too often. It is good to see Barrie and EJ play well but an A+ for Barrie is a little far out in my opinion. A little controversy is not a bad thing here.
The steady play by Cole almost every game makes me smile-what an addition on D.

It is more difficult to complain about the Avs secondary scoring and 2nd line play after watching this Edmonton team play. Jeez

Kamenev looked good. Nieto looked fast. Calvert looks like a bad contract. I like how our PP2 now has FOUR natural Centers, it would be nice if they could win a faceoff.

AJ, I love your player performance grading after each game. How about calculating the individual GPA’s for each player after the season to present a BSN MVP award? Just a thought…

We did that last year! We didn’t do the BSN MVP part but we had a whole table of average grades.

Crazy Pants is Crazy Pants. Best descriptive ever. I would apply it to that Varly save on Draisaitl as well. Maybe the most athletic move I have seen a goalie make in terms of reaction speed, balance, flexibility and leverage. Hasek would have thought that was nuts. I’m going to surmise that the groin is good. So, does this open up the conversation for re-signing him?

Just watched this game again on delay…Kamenev was a boss out there. Really strong game from him, would love to see more of that as the season continues. His puck control in the O-zone was amazing.
