COLUMBUS, Ohio – Hello from Nationwide Arena, where the 2-0-0 Avalanche face the 1-1-0 Columbus Blue Jackets tonight.

Some lineup news:

Captain Gabe Landeskog is good to go. He skated just fine. I told him he gave people a scare with someone posting an Instagram photo of him in a boot at Coors Field the other day, and he laughed it off, calling it an “early Halloween costume.”

Patrik Nemeth skated today and took contact, but won’t play. He is likely to make a return Thursday night in Buffalo. Vladislav Kamenev is here and skated, but will be a healthy scratch.

So, here are the lines and D pairs:

Landeskog-MacKinnon-Rantanen

Kerfoot-Jost-Wilson

Nieto-Soderberg-Bourque

Dries-Compher-Calvert

D

Girard-Johnson

Cole-Barrie

Zadorov-Barberio

Grubauer in goal.

Matt Calvert had a lot of media around him at his locker, for good reason. He’ll play his first game as a visitor in this building. He went out to dinner with a bunch of former Columbus teammates last night. Ian Cole, another former Blue Jacket, was there too. Calvert and Cole picked up the tab. I’ll have more on Calvert later.
