Hey Zac and Ryan, congrats on the 1 million downloads (no surprise as your content is off the chain)! Not to beat a dead horse here, but much like many new subscribers I too finally broke down and subscribed after listening for a long time. Seriously, how I didn’t do this before is beyond me! The content BSN provides is outstanding and leaves me feeling a surge of pride to be a part of Broncos Country! I haven’t been this excited about the Broncos season since the 2015 Super Bowl season.
I can’t wait for the preseason to start and I look forward to your analysis of player development and team development. Any insight on what you guys are going to look for when the team takes the field during the four preseason games?
Keep up all the good work guys and a shout out to all the BSN staff! GO BRONCOS!!!

Pronunciation Smith for Smyth….first off I want to say that I also sang “bouta week ago” after Zacs comment. I am probably of the minority that is excited to see Isiah back catching punts this year. He’s a young guy who showed flashes early on last year. I see the fumbles (6 of them) as more mental blocks rather than a lack of talent. Much like Chuck Noblauch. I think he can be a spark and a weapon for us back there in a big time comeback season.

Congratulations on one million downloads! I had a slow day today so just for fun I went back and listened to the podcast from exactly one year ago today. Some highlights and predictions from that day’s podcast:
1) Preparations were underway for the first preseason game against Chicago. Several times throughout the podcast, Paxton was compared to Mike Glennon. Oof.
2) Isiah Mckenzie was described as returning punts on a whole different level (compared to Khalif Raymond), and how he was catching punts carrying four balls in his hands just to challenge himself. Maybe giving him more balls to carry when fielding punts during the actual games would have helped?
3) Ryan predicted “great things” from Carlos Henderson, that the team had big plans for him. Hmmmmm.
4) Zaq added Trevor Siemian “tore up” the scout team defense, and if he can just be average during the regular season, the team will be in great shape. He added it was difficult to tell if the quarterbacks were good but just looking average against a great defense, or if they were just average. I think we would have been thrilled to be average. Oof.
5) Steven Ridley can ball out, and will be a nice supplement to the offensive plan behind Jamaal Charles. I would really like to see what that plan looked like in August of 2017, because we all know what it looked like in December.
Mikael wrote in as the first listener from Sweden (pre Timmy!), and the fantasy league wasn’t even on the radar.
So, it was a fun little step back in time. On August 8, 2019, what predictions/statements/projections will we be looking back on and wondering “man, what were we thinking?!” 🙂 On a completely unrelated note, I have already booked my travel to see Sutton enter the HOF as a special active-player-exception in 2019.
Here’s to a million more downloads!
Last in relevance but first in your hearts,

Congrats on the million downloads, I know I’ve been part of them, downloading them every day since the old days of with BK.
Not a knock on BK, but I think the pod works way better with both of you together. The chemistry that exists in ZR is really awesome and makes us feel like we’re there, with you.
I don’t read too much on the Depth Chart, Vance was almost like a kid that has to give up a toy it doesn’t want to, he didn’t want to do it, but did it anyways. I really think it’s going to change a lot.
A friend of mine went to Day 4 of Training Camp and he said he thinks the TE group is really lackluster, other than Butt, on the passing game, putting special emphasis on Traylor’s lack of depth in routes. Virgil Green last year was a really good blocker and had good hands when the ball actually went to him, but as a bad route runner, he never got enough separation on developing routes to be target.. Is there any risk Traylor is the same, or is my pal being too harsh on him?

How’s my guy Sutton been doing? Haven’t heard anything for a couple days.

Heard you ask V. J. about Heuerman….. The only thing I can think is they may want to try a trade him, and by keeping him in the conversation as your starter he has more value, but ….. I’m skeptical.
I did hear that #84 was out of practice again today… Looks like your red shirt year prediction is coming to fruition.
I keep hearing good things about LaCosse, but everything I hear is that he is a “move” TE, or “F” type TE ??? He’s listed at 6’6 and 255lbs I’m encouraged that he has the agility to be an “F”, but are you telling me a guy that big can’t block enough to be considered a in-line or “Y” TE?
I see us only carrying 3 TE’s and I would like all 3 to be better than Heuerman…
Ryan, I remember you saying you thought Heuerman was a “lock” to make the team… do you still feel that way?
GO BRONCOS!!!

Because I know Ryan loves talking about it, and Zac seems to lean into the mic a bit when he says it, had to mention that “touch wood” is super common in the UK as well. It doesn’t even phase me when Zac says it – he’s just a natural w the UK contingent. I’m a transplant from the US (moved nearly 12 yrs ago) so it’s now replaced the traditional knock on wood saying – but I still actually knock on a wooden surface when saying it.
Great pod as always guys, keep up the great work. I’m struggling to keep up with all the content on a daily basis!

Can you guys give a brief description on what goes on at a walkthrough and injured players can not attend (even if it seems like a minor injury or just a precaution). Thanks!!

Appreciate you guys for what you do. And I, for one, tune in for the “Yanny” vs “Laurel” blitz audible discussion! ???
