Great piece and a true depiction of why this is different than the past. Must be terribly difficult for the boys in Orange like Von but I’ve got hope for the future with Lock at the helm.

Also solid Counting Crows reference there Mase… wonder where you could have picked that up.

Thanks Mase, great article and I couldn’t agree more. There’s so much to be positive about. For a team decimated by injury and missing starters, we didn’t give up and weren’t far away at times from making plays.

Von just needs to remember that we may have had a lot of oysters and no pearls but better days aren’t too far away.

It is time to keep things in proper perspective. Miller’s frustration is understandable…but team is coming together and has improved from week to week. Nice thing about the current NFL is a third of the roster rolls over every year so rebuilding doesn’t take forever. And having a solid QB or two makes the draft board much easier to navigate, because if your QB situation is unsettled every draft pick you are evaluating the best player or best available vs your QB options. Thank God Drew Lock slid to the second round last year.

I think Von is really missing Chubb and Wolfe, guys he could count on for help (Reed = 1 sack – milk carton pending, Shaq = 16.5 – oh my…). And I’m sure his knee is probably hurting him more than he’s letting on. But more than anything, I think he believes in Drew; this was Drew’s homecoming game in KC, and he is really disappointed his squad didn’t show up. Blown coverages, horrible O-line play, Kittle running like he stole it, dropped balls, and his new Q on his ass constantly – even refs are picking him up. Maybe he thinks if his team sees how sad he is they’ll play better. I hope it works. I want Von to be happy 🙂
