I’m disappointed in you both… NO, NO PHILLIP RIVERS! Are you kidding me?? Zac, Denver fans would embrace him?? No! Might as well keep rolling with Joe Cool! I can think of… *75!* great reasons why that would be an awful decision. If Lock ain’t it, stick with a young draftee and ride through the bumps.

Where the hell is RK?? I need someone to talk some sense into Mase and Zac with this Phillip Rivers talk. Absolutely no f’in way I’d want that absolute bozo on our team. His arm is a noodle and I just don’t like the guy. He’s been my most hated QB behind Brady for years and the last thing I want is to see him in orange and blue. Makes me sick to think about.
Njyhalo
Also, remember how much we talked about how great it was seeing some mobility from Allen vs slow Joe? And now you want PHIL?? C’mon man!

Von Miller said that Drew Lock was going to blow up and that he hopes he’s here when he does. That either means that Drew Lock is an up and coming Patrick Mahomes and they’re saving him for the last game to see him live or the Broncos told Von to say that to Increase Locks draft capital so they can get back more when they trade up for joe burrow. Or maybe Lock is Hot Cakes and the broncos only drafted him because they knew the fans would be pissed and not watch games when “prime” flacco s***s the bed. Nothing makes sense and it definitely feels like the Broncos are trying to hide something

Hey guys!! Just wondering why everyone rips and roars about how they don’t know what the broncos are thinking with lock, then don’t ask the broncos why… will you get kicked out? Don’t want to get you in trouble but it just sucks listening to radio and podcasts with everyone bitches about it but won’t actually ask the broncos. Thanks guys big fan!

Signing Phil Rivers, no matter how good the deal, even if he plays for free, is akin to renaming the team to the Denver Chargers. Both would be unimaginable. Rivers?? Really?? Hellllllllllll nooooooooooo. I would even prefer Bezos bought the team. I’d even prefer it if the devil himself bought the team. At least we might win some more games, lol.

The Devil is too busy running a nightclub in L.A. and solving crimes.

Hey boys. Final thoughts on the Vikings. Kube’s second half adjustments with Kirk friggin Cousins were amazing. He orchestrated the only team in 99+ years of NFL history to score only TDs in the entire 2nd. half of a game, 4 for 4. The Broncos, my question is about Vic. Is what Denver has suffered through in 2019 along with wasting another of Von’s last few remaining prime years been worth it to not have the ex-Broncos linebacker, 1 other coach and Kubes running the ” O? ” I believe Vic’s decision not to compromise with Kube’s and John could cost him his chance to remain an NFL head coach. Like Mase has also said, absolutely no more band-aids @ QB, NO Phillis Rivers for me please! LOCK it up guys and let’s start winning damn football games again!!! Miss R. K. GO BRONCOS & ZOOMIES

I am no longer angry. I am in full on apathy mode. While admitting I am incredibly cynical , this is my thought on the season – Elway doesn’t care about winning. He cares about being relevant – being “the guy”. People say he is competitive, and that is the ultimate competition – winning the game of power and control. Him focusing on win now, replacing Jano and activating Tim Patrick and all these other short term moves keeps him and his role relevant. He can hide behind this air of importance, being too busy trying to win games to worry about when Lock will start. That’s a next season problem. As long as he gets to move the pieces on the game board and stay in charge, he’s winning. Same with the Trust. They can’t possibly transfer power to a Bowlen while the team is in this state, right? There’s too much going on, so they perpetuate this “7 & 9 B S” pretending to try to right the ship and transfer ownership of the team when the time is right, when really all they are doing is trying to hold on as long as possible.
I’m so done with it. I struggle to care about the sport and the team when it’s so obvious to everyone that the people at the very top don’t.
I need a Breck Brew. Any flavor. Now. Ugh.
Last in relevance, last in the AFC West, Last in Hope, Last in the fantasy league (hahaha ugh), but hopefully still first in your hearts…

Hello Gentlemen.
When Elway said Flacco was “just entering his prime,” I never believed he believed that. Honestly figured he was just trying to hype up Flacco for the fan base.
Similarly, do you think Fangio is just hedging a bit with Lock? It almost feels like he’s downplaying when Lock could enter the lineup to avoid putting pressure on the kid. Do you think there’s any truth in that? Or do you honestly think he has concerns about Lock’s ability to play?
I mean, at worse he puts up the numbers Allen has, we keep losing and get a top 5 pick. I just don’t see the downside to playing him against the Chargers. The scenario is too perfect.
McCaffreineAddict
The perplexing handling of Lock this season indicates they have major concerns about him.

I go into every game thinking the Broncos can win, however this last game has me so frustrated!!!!!! There is no excuse for blowing a 20 point lead at halftime, especially against a quarterback who is not supposed to be good when he has to carry his team on his shoulders. An absolute embarrassment!!!!
1. I was watching the game with my cousin, who had never seen a game of football in her life. Even though she had no idea what was going on, she could clearly see the collapse in the making. Once the game ended, she turned to me and said “The Broncos suck don’t they?” which clearly shows how bad they played in that second half.
2. Random comment- did any of you hear about that radio host in Philadelphia who started a petition to ban professional sports in Denver? His reasoning was that the altitude is a ridiculous home field advantage that isn’t fair to the other team, he also called it cheating. His petition has just under 100 signatures. In response, a person in Denver started a petition to raise sporting venues within Denver 1000 feet higher. Personally, I think this is a ridiculous petition, thoughts?
Minnesota Paul
Woah, did I just hear a drum sting sound byte? Yes! Keep the drops coming DNVR Broncos! The next one should be a record of Mase yelling “75!”
Episode 2: What’s the argument against starting Lock against Buffalo? He’s not going to play his best game in his first career start anyway. To borrow a phrase a from the pod, let him shoot hoops with a medicine ball by starting the Buffalo game. In his second start, the Chargers will look like they’re moving at half speed, and he’ll begin his reign over the AFC West.
Everyone else said it already, but no Phil Rivers in Denver. I’d rather have Mariota than Rivers at this point.
McCaffreineAddict
Howdy fellas! I think the Broncos need to apply the win-now strategy and play their most talented guy still not in the rotation: Drew Lock… But for real. Isn’t that the win now and also “see what you have” move? If he’s half of what I think he could be, I wouldn’t be that surprised if it rallied the Broncos to 9-7 or 8-8.
Also, there’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. I played football at a high level and have watched a ton in my life. I know a lot of the other subscribers have too. When we see things that look like total boneheaded moves by Vic or Rich, are the coaches on just a whole different level in terms of their understanding of the game and strategy where our criticism is ignorant and foolish? Where is the line between “shut up and have faith in the pros (Elway, Vic, Rich)” and “hey, I know a lot about football and that was a bad decision”. What are your guys’ thoughts on this?
1) Philip Rivers may have a baseball team of kids but Rodgers-Cromartie has a football team where only half the kids have to play both ways lol 15 kids and 3 failed vasectomies.
2) Can we please have DNVR shirts with Jokic doing the sky hook with the caption “the spectacular Serbian hooker”? I’d buy it in a heartbeat!
3) fun little off topic question who would win in an Oklahoma drill between Mase or RK, RK or Zac, Mase or Zac? It’s a drill where both players start flat in their backs about 10 yards apart and on the whistle flip over pop up and run directly at eachother and try to tackle the other

Never ever bet against Mase. Ever.
OhMaHa
Mase;
Brandon McManus has missed 22 field goals since going 10/10 in the 2015 playoffs. 22?! That’s more than 5 per/season and we have 6 games to go in 2019. He currently sits 47th in career FG% behind the likes of Blair Walsh and Chandler Catanzaro, both of whom are UNEMPLOYED, as well as Matt Prater, who lost his job to B Mac. Like I said, what he did during the run to SB50 will never be forgotten but it’s time we Bill Belichick him out the door and move on before things turn to Cody Parkey levels of disaster.
Count Bridgeula
Yesterday’s pod will forever be known as the mucus episode.
That is all.
Ok, one more thing …
Zac and Mase are Demi Gods!

Worse take ever!
If we get rivers i hope we can also find a way to clone bolles and make him our entire o-line so we can watch him get smashed every game to give me some joy during the season at least. 21 Bollo’s and Rivers is all he deserves.
I was MUCH more accepting of the Flacco experiment than i would be of bringing in cry baby rivers. HARD NO!
On another note, if broncos think they are going to be able to make lock the backup at home in week 13 without fans booing and turning on the team after Allens first incompletion they are crazy! Maybe you could pull that on the road but home fans wont let them get away with such incompetence.

I just listened to Justin Simmons respond to the media saying that he can see spurts Of what this young group of players are capable of doing together and I agree with what he said. He’s right when he says this team is under first time coaches and coordinators and needs to evolve together with continuity. Whatever Elway does he needs to sign Justin to a long term contract, he’s a star and seems like a great team leader. I Also loved the story of Von taking the team out to dinner after a real tough loss. Hopefully the team stays together through the tough times this year, learns from its mistakes, and gets some good momentum towards the end of the year with Drew Lock starting sooner rather than later. BTW did anyone see that save Flurey made in the Knights game last night? Best save of the year..

Jeff Legwold just ran a nice lil piece about the VR system that our QBs are using. Quite a few good tidbits in that piece but here’s a summary;
a) The Broncos are one of 8 teams to use the VR system (so only 25% of the league is using this). I’m trying to find out which the other teams are, but I know that the Bears, the Vikings, the Cardinals, the 49ers are among them. Not bad company to be in. (besides the Bears lol)
b) Elway was one of the first team execs to test the system in 2015, and immediately gave it his seal of approval. Interesting that a HOF QB would respond so positively to it, right away.
c) Kubiak considered installing the system in 2016, but decided to hold off until 2017. Speaking of 2017. VJ didn’t like the system (although the Cardinals do, so sucks for VJ) We already knew this from his quote. ‘VR isn’t football’
d) The system lets Lock see plays from Flacco/Allen’s perspective, and tracks Lock’s head movements to analyze his progressions etc. The system also tracks Lock’s accuracy and response time. Also it allows Lock to set up red zone, third down and two minute situations.
I’m intrigued by it, for sure!

Hey guys
I really dont see the NFL ready for taking a team to another country and they probably Will look to The London Jaguars first
Dont get me wrong. It would be great to have the Chargers here in Mexico City and watch the broncos once a year. Imagine the advantage for the broncos related from the height!!
However the fanbase in Mexico City statistically is divided mainly in steelers, cowboys and patriots fans. We broncos are at Number 8 and the chargers arent in the top 10
PS. You are right Mase. I hate Philip Rivers
BroncoGator
Hey guys. Love the podcast. Just a couple comments and a question.
1. Please, no Rivers. I doubt he would want to come to Denver anyway. As much as we dislike him, I’m sure the feeling is mutual with him.
2. I never found the word mucus funny until Mase said it.
3. Could it be that Fangio is really unaware of the narrative he is creating with his interviews and press conferences, ie saying that Lock needs to be the backup first? To me, it just seems like sometimes he’s just spit-balling…
SirJamesRadio
Mase, I hope DNVR is paying you well because I will be sending you my medical bills for having to hear you say “Ride Garett Bolles for one more year”
All jokes aside I would love for Rivers to come in. I have long since admired Rivers. Anyone that goes out and balls with a torn ACL is worthy of admiration. Dude is the ultimate gamer. He gets a lot of heat because he “whines” but that’s just the passion for wanting to see his team succeed. Living out in Southern California I’ve seen many charger fans absolutely take him for granted over the last couple seasons. I would also personally volunteer to babysit all 27 of his kids if he chose not to uproot them and have them stay here in socal.

Everybody needs to just realize that if we grabbed “Cry me a” Rivers that could pay off huge. Not only could we upgrade the O Line and get him the protection and surround him with more talent, he is more mobile then Flacco. He can still pull off a boot and his arm is insane, good deep ball and when he can set his accuracy is off the charts. The guy is a huge cry baby and honestly half the time it works for him. The main reason I am good with this is because if he came to Denver he would be all in, but even more so he would be hungry. This would be his last shot to get that ring and I think that would push him to have probably one or two of his best years.
Rivers is 14-18 VS Broncos since entering (5 of the losses came in the Manning era so asterisk there) he has a winning record overall. If we get Rivers, within 2 years there is a run to the super bowl.
Hey who know, with the governor changing it to free all day kindergarten and the new day care help that are state mandated he might just come here.
Rivers, Lindsay, Sutton, Patrick, Jano, Fant plus a decent line and the great D. Terrifying team right there.

Been a while since I commented but had a question for y’all and maybe the draft guys. What would y’all think about signing Emanuel Hall, Drew’s WR from Missouri? He’s currently injured so I’m thinking more of an offseason move. Wondering if he could be a option along with a rookie on day 2 of the draft as a way to add more upside to the WR core.
UppercutOfJustice
Given what you folks have said about the offensive nomenclature being near glossolalia, I wonder if anyone short of PFM could maximize this scheme (despite his objections). What is the average word count per play in the NFL and is there an avenue for players to approach a coach about something like this being too mentally difficult without seeming like they are being lazy or lacking effort?
Also, Zac, you believe Joe Ellis is involved with Lock? Would you expand on this?
Jayner
It’s been a while since I’ve commented. Had to because I’m hearing the dumbest talk from a certain someone. Phillip Rivers…. is the most overrated QB of all time. I don’t care if he comes to Denver and throws 60 TD’s (probably would have 60 int’s to match). He chokes all day. How many super bowl rings does he have? He is trash. I don’t want big Ben either. I would be okay with Brady because of his leadership and the fact that he knows what it takes to win. Also I don’t want to pay trash QB’s loads of money. Would rather spend money on our current guys like Chris Harris, Wolfe, Simmons, etc. Even spend money to get a better O-Line. Let’s see what we have with lock. If he isn’t the guy go for a QB in the draft.
BroncoBornBroncoBred
Am i gonna get to see Drew Lock in Houston? I really do actually like Brandon Allen, but more of a fun girlfriend in college that you just ‘like’ but never see yourself ending up with her. I wanna find out if Drew Lock is the one, let’s stop messing around with girls that we know we won’t end up with for the long term.
Hoping I finally get RK on a pod, Luka>Jokic tell me why I’m wrong Ryan.
PigTosser66
Keep killin it guys! Thanks for the great content day after day. A few thoughts:
1. Drew Lock should NOT be the backup at any time during this season. If he is in uniform he has to be starting. It would be a huge distraction not only to Brandon Allen but the entire team. If the plan is to have Brandon Allen start the game then be fair to him and let him play without having to look over his shoulder after every pass at the young gunslinger waiting on the sideline. Activate Drew for the Chargers game and start him.
2. Noah Fant has turned the corner. That dude was playing with an attitude and confidence that we haven’t seen from him yet. The 75 yard catch and run I think showed him not only that he belonged, but he can dominate. This guy is going to be an elite TE in this league mark it down.
3. Mr.B
4. The more I think about last Sunday’s game, the more encouraged I get that this team is headed in the right direction. That first half showed what this team is capable of. The second half was more a of fluke to me when you look at how the defense played. Being up 20-0 on the road against a legit contender is new territory for this young team. It’s like being on a date with a girl that’s a 10 when you yourself are a 7. Halfway through you are still stuck on the fact that she said yes and are just happy to be there instead of figuring out how to close the deal for another date. Also that no huddle really ate us up and that is on Fangio and the staff. We are much closer to the first half team than the second half team and that is encouraging.
5. Colby Wadman HAS to have incriminating photos of Tom McMahon. That’s the only explanation. This guy sucks. I haven’t seen anything on the injury reports but is this guy playing through a broken right foot?? Damn.
Keep up the good work fellas. Appreciate you.

What’s going on guys, I’ve been a listener for about 2 years now and a member for a few months now but I’m finally getting around to commenting. I’m born and raised in Kansas City around chiefs fans my whole life but my dad and grandad grew up in Denver and were season ticket holders which is where my love for the Broncos comes from. I’m going to school at KU and that being said am always around Chiefs fans and have some friends that go to Mizzou that are also Chiefs fans, I talked to them about Lock and what they thought of him and his potential as a pro, and they didn’t give him much chance and cited his lack of composure under pressure and his performances in big games, I think they are partially saying it because they are Chiefs and I’m holding out hope that Lock can still be a competent starter with potential of more. What do you guys think about those criticisms of Lock? Sorry for the long introduction and comment, it’s been a long time coming. Thanks for giving a Broncos fan living in enemy territory a platform to get all the info I need, you guys are the best.
TrueChampFan24
Hope i can sneak this one in.
I love Punter talk, everyone acts like they are not important but, as soon as a punter starts shanking kicks, they become the big news.
Punters are important because field position is important.
Draft a Punter, then sign 5 UDFA punters. Trade for 3 more and have them hash it out. I DO NOT CARE.
Both Britton Colquitt and Riley Dixon knew how to punt… Get me a Punter!

I hope this is the correct place to comment, just subbed. Sorry to say I had to use code Mares because he’s the one that brought me to DNVR from locked on network. I did want to tell you guys that you have the best broncos pod I’ve ever heard. I was at the Vikings game And all I could think was how if Brandon Allen could lead a 20 point game then how well could a QB with actual arm talent could do? It looks like Allen constantly underthrows balls and they happen to look like “back shoulder fades”. Just a thought. Thanks for the pod guys, you convinced me to sub so I could read Mase’s articles.
Boucher all day
How would the draft board shift if tua decided to come back one more year because of his injury hurting his draft stock and because next year might be a lighter year with just trevor Lawrence and justin fields to compete with?
How would this change your stance if lock isn’t the guy?
Nashville Joey
I have loved the Denver Broncos for as many of my 42 years as I can remember. I cried when they lost super bowls as a kid, cried when they finally won and proudly wear a Broncos tattoo on my shoulder….that being said……if they don’t start Drew Lock soon I AM GONNA LOSE MY F’ING MIND! What in God’s name are they waiting for? I can’t believe there is a part of me that will be OK with the Broncos losing on Sunday because I feel like its the only way Lock has a chance to play. Truly mind boggling what Elway and staff are doing here. WE NEED TO SEE WHAT HE CAN DO! Also Mase, thanks for calling out Wadman. I have been texting my brother all year that he needs to go. Nothing more frustrating than having the TV cameras pan BACK to the line of scrimmage on a punt AKA, they are too damn short. Keep up the great work guys, and next time you are in Nashville beers are on me!
