For the state of the program, beating USC would be absolutely huge for this program. While it may not have the same shine as the Nebraska game, but the fact the Buffs have never beaten USC would be huge for the future of the program. Even with their down years, USC is still the recruiting and talent powerhouse in the south.
We don’t play Nebraska again until 2023. We will face USC four times before then, with the first matchup being tomorrow. The timing of the game tomorrow makes this more important at this juncture in the season than ASU was. Against ASU, we moved to 3-1, but have since dropped the following three games with absolute landslides in the last two. If we win tomorrow, it may breathe some life into the remainder of the season and keep the bowl chances alive.
