Not only was it El Cangrejo’s second career pinch hit grand slam, the feat makes him the first player in franchise history to hit two pinch-hit grand slams. For the season, he has four such pinch hit homers, tying the 25-year-old for the second-most in franchise history and most since Pat Valaika in 2017.In an old school bang-bang play at the plate, Tony Wolters secures the ball to tag out Lorenzo Cain in the ninth inning during a crucial moment of Saturday’s ballgame. Because of the run prevention, Sam Hilliard added a game-tying pinch hit home run before Trevor Story walked it off in the 10th.Trevor Story caps an audacious comeback by the Rockies on Saturday night with his home run to the opposite field in the 10th inning over the Milwaukee Brewers, preventing the 2018 NLDS foes from moving into a tie for first place in the NL Central. The come-from-behind win marked the first time in franchise history that homers were slugged in the eight, ninth and tenth innings. It also gave Story two walk-off home runs on the season, making him only the fifth Rockies’ player with as many, joining Dante Bichette (1996), Larry Walker (2001), Jason Giambi (2010) and Chris Iannetta (2010).

The St. Louis Cardinals pose on the Busch Stadium mound following a 9-0 drubbing of the Chicago Cubs to clinch the NL Central pennant. Due in large part to the Colorado Rockies exacting revenge on the Milwaukee Brewers for the 2018 NLDS sweep and returning the favor for the final three games of the 2019 season, the Cards will enjoy the next three days off while the Wild Card Brewers will need to travel to Washington, D.C. to face the Nationals in a do-or-die scenario.
