Funny how I’ve been listening for over a year now and in the past week or so Jacksonville keeps getting brought up! Don’t want to make this perfect Denver podcast about Florida but some Fun facts:
1. The UNF Ospreys are located down here in Duval County!
2. The Jaguars stadium is located in the heart of The County which is the reason for the chant(which btw you guys have to hold the vowels longer lol).

Hey boys. It’s Raider hater weekend. More Allie & Lyndsey & N. Carolina. R.K., you enjoyed and were entertained by the opening TNF game because, well, defenses win Lombardi’s as we learned in Denver in 2015. I was glued to it opening play until the Amos pick. Ok, so I think my last comment was taken the wrong way or maybe I came off a little too harsh. I just know how Mase’s Denver celebrity could take over this homegrown podcast, as you’ve seen from the comments on the last few pods. You guys must have agreed with me in some sense since Mase’s mailbag is going to be a thing. I didn’t leave when BK left, I’m not leaving with the addition of Mase. Keep up the great work.

AB just asked to be released, and the madness continues.

Mase! I’ve always been a huge fan and was wondering where you were going to land after seeing your social post about leaving the Broncos. Imagine my excitement when the next pod I listened to was titled, “The debut of Andrew Mason.” As if I thought this pod couldn’t get any better. RK and Zac, congrats to you guys for putting out quality content that Mase wanted to be involved with. He’s right, it’s the future of sports reporting.

RK, you were right when you said this AB thing could go 100 different ways by Monday night. I woke up to see AB asking to be traded after his $$ got took. I feel like this is the perfect scenario for a relationship analogy. Something like, “No matter hot a girl/guy is, if he/she drives the Crazy Train, don’t let them into your life! THEY ARE CRAZY!”

I found your podcast late in February and have listened fervently through the agonizingly long off season and could not resist the opportunity to take in as much high quality Broncos and Avalanche coverage as Humanly. But had to wait until I got (paid) lower case size 7 text)
One question for you today. with the suddenly favorable first four games of the season (the toothless Raiders offence. Packers and Bears teams that looked underwhelming at best, and a largely unknown commodity in Jacksonville) is it possible that we could raise our expectations for this broncos team to a legitimate wild card contender? I know a hot start does not mean a lot but if the Broncos can start 5-1 or 4-2 we could have an intriguing match up with cell clock C AKA the Chiefs week 7.

Mase! I’m gonna need you to whip these boys into shape!

I can forgive the golden girls….but never having had seen star trek?! That’s unsubscribe worthy! Okay I kid but come on guys!

I may be the ONLY person on this, but I don’t put much, if any blame on AB. He was set up to fail from the very beginning and in regards to the poll Zac sent out I would 100% welcome him to denver!

Gday Lads, long time listener, first time in the comments. Bare with me as I have a lot of pent up commentary and questions – I’ll try and limit it for the moment.

First for all – can’t believe how many other Aussie blokes there are supporting BSN Broncos. Jee-wiz cobbers, good to be tuning in with a couple of china plates from our great sunburnt land.

Second – the final push for sub is that I’ve been gifted the best 30th birthday present of all time from my misses. I’m heading to Colorado for 10 days to catch the Avs hosting the Coyotes and then of course, Titans and Chiefs on the short week! Denverites – my mate and I need your best tips for being in town!!

Finally – are we any the wiser of exactly how Kareem Jackson will be used on the field? Is it fair to assume he will be a trully creative piece? One snap over the top, the next pressed up at CB?

Promise I’ll be more brief in the future. Can’t believe Mase joined BSN before I subbed! Thanks for all the coverage and making me constantly long for a strawberry sky…

Just got back from the thrashing of Syracuse by Maryland (yes Mase ima Terp) and listened to the pod the whole way back. One of the funnier moments of our tailgate was the constant changing on ABs status for Monday. One of my fellow tailgaters is a Raiders fan and this just gave me so much fuel to the fire. Now I see he may be off to NE? OMG OK! Good Luck! Damn good trainwreck.

WHAT A FREAKIN GAME. Born in Oklahoma, I’m a diehard Sooners fan but that CU game was the best game all weekend. Maybe an early candidate for game of the year and you know I had to watch to support RK and Phil! Go Buffs!

Tin Foil Hat Time!

I think that Antonio Clown had this entire situation planned. I believe he never wanted to waste his time with a floundering franchise like Oakland, and found a way to get released so he could join the Patriots. His antics were too outlandish, even for AB, to not at least CONSIDER thaf they were preplanned. He was ecstatic when he got released, and had a deal done within a few hours with the Pats. The NFL should investigate this entire situation, because I smell something fishy!

BONUS CONSPIRACY:

I also wouldn’t doubt if Gronk ”unretires” around playoff time this season, and serve as a 54th roster spot all year. Patriots are stepping up their Tom Foolery in Toms final year’s!

Immediate game reactions:
Very disappointed with the defense. The secondary was picked apart, the line got no pressure on Carr and there were only two tackles for loss (TFL).
The first half offense was hard to watch. The second half showed some promise. Freeman, Lindsay, Sanders (when targeted) and Sutton balled. Hopefully this is something they can build on as a unit. The TD drop from Hamilton ripped my heart out. Right in the bread basket. Couldn’t believe it.
Overall, our team looked rusty in the first half. Too much ground to make up in the second. On to the next. Go Broncos.
Question:
Do you gentlemen want to see them air it out more, with the success Flacco had in the second half?

What’s up guys hope all is well. Been awhile since I commented. Just have to say that game was ass. Complete trash on the Broncos part. This doesnt inspire any confidence going forward and there are no moral victories in my book. We looked better last yr with VJ ,Keenum and musgrave then what they did on offense tonight. And once again our defense got shredded by carr. No pressure no sacks. Nothing. Where was von and chubb?? Idk but I honestly feel like this will be another season of so much hope just to see in week 6 or 8 that our season is over. Maybe Adam rank wasnt wrong about us going 2-14?? Hope things get better. But how can that be when we paid 2 free agents big money and one hasn’t even been in practice. Bryce Callahan. And the other cant even stay on the field. In our RT james. Does these things not worry you guys? 1st game there are kinks to work out but how does sanders only have 2 targets until the 4th qt?? Sorry for long post. And that’s it been awhile but I had to take a break from you guys with all the bachelorette talk. This was sounding more like the real house husbands of Broncos. For what it’s worth, the crowd was fired up about AB and it being the last opener in Oakland. Mase was right about some things just bringing a team together.

What happened on defense?

Did our offense start to figure it out in the second half or did they just try to run out the clock and backed off?

Why does is it so challenging for the Broncos to do anything on offense?

Through all the offensive miscues, questionable coverages and special teams gaffs, the one thread of continuity to tie it all together is that discontinuity is taking its toll on the Broncos. All the moving pieces on the coaching staff and at QB have created a talented roster that lacks an identity, and that simply takes time. No need to burn the house down, but we will need a lot of patience. Buckle in boys, it’s gonna be a bumpy ride.

In regards to the (temporary) name change, I was formerly crisobrien, but when Ryan and Zac revealed that Mase is a USF Bulls fan, I figured that the only way I could allow my nickel a day to land in the pockets of a Bull is by taking advantage of my subscription at least this one time to remind him that USF has not won a football game for 11 months, while UCF has only lost 1 football game in the last 33 months.

I do have a question though… with Bryce sidelined, why in the world did Fangio not take advantage of the versatility he prizes to put Kareem Jackson at CB and bring Will Parks in at safety? Seems to me that Will Parks is a lot better than Isaac Yiadom at this point.

Just gonna wipe my cheeks dry and talk about a happier subject. My Mase Origin Story goes back to following his coverage for the Broncos when I was a sophomore in high school circa 2002. Only journalist I’ve been a fan of for 17 years. I tried to explain the significance to my wife of the legend joining the boys who commute with me every day but as a Patriots fan, she has no frame of reference. Very excited to have the whole trio now. (But if you add a 4th, I’ll need a bigger car.)

Welcome Mase!!!! Good to have you in the Family. Real quick comment on the game last night. Unless I missed it I didn’t notice any Holding penalties on GB. But I did notice 2 things:
1. On run plays GB would be out in front not blocking. Do you think that this is because the runner was supposed to run outside and they just ran inside which in turn allowed the defender to avoid being blocked and make the tackle?
2. On quite a few run plays the person that made the tackles, or at least initial contact was the person that broke a block from Noah Fant. Thoughts?
