Was a little surprised and disappointed that you guys excluded LOC from the criteria, I was curious about your thoughts on him after the surprising numbers he put up. 19 – 23 -42 were more goals and points than his three years at DU combined and better than Kaut and Lewis combined (I don’t mean in any way shape or form to imply that his future is more promising that those guys, just a little perspective on his season). He had a surprisingly productive first pro season especially given his numbers at DU.
Regarding Makar’s number I was almost ceatain he would pick 8 given: it was his number all through juniors, he had 2*8 when it wasn’t available at UMass, he had 8*8 at Avs rookie camp and 7 and 9, the numbers on either side of 8 when it wasn’t available for Team Canada. I personally doubt he had any reason to ask for 9 but who knows. Given the Avs history with that number, particularly Ozo, I’m really glad that’s what he ended up with.
