Hey guys,
Listening to the pod today, and the question about can you win with too many under-sized yet puck moving defensemen got me thinking: Haven’t the Avs already run into a situation like this before? Wasn’t the large part of the rational for moving Shattenkirk that he was too similar Tyson Barrie and Stephen Elliot (shame the kid never panned out) and they wanted a bigger player in exchange?
I guess if so, do you guys think there are lessons to be drawn from the Shattenkirk-Johnson trade that help us think about potentially moving on from Barrie?
