Gratz getting the three-peet, and great podcast as usual.
I was wondering with the trade of AB, couldn’t we get John Ross for a fifth or even a sixth?
Would love to see this happen.
Also I agree with the Fangio comment you made about wanting an ILB. If I was Fangio, right when Flacco got traded for I would of been in Elways office telling him “since you got your Quarterback, I now want my QB for the defense. Let me take one of the Devans in the first round and a corner in the second or third. What’s your take on this? And how much do you think Fangio insisted for this to happen? Do you really see Elway caving in on his off ball LB thoughts of plug and play anyone there thinking?

I hate these moves by Elway. Every move screams bad aid. Paying a cornerback the same age as Talib makes me scratch my head. Wasn’t the reason of trading Talib to save cap space? However the pay more money for a player the same age and skill set.
James is overpaid. Mark Kiszla wrote a piece this morning saying that you don’t pay a band-aide of a right tackle 12.5 million dollars a year. You hired Munchak to develope young, cheap, offensive lineman. I currently have more questions than answers. My brother is a 49ers fan yet he is more optimistic than I am about the current roster!

Shake Shack is fake. With the Chiefs being as strong as they are, and the Raiders improving as much as they have, is there a path you see to the Broncos competing for the West, or do you think we any success that comes this year will have to come through the Wild Card? Just seems like our moves aren’t quite strong enough to compete with the top end.
Thanks guys
My guys! Wow it’s been such a long time since I commented I almost forgot how! JK – I’ve actually just recovered from the news of Keenum going to Washington. I just can’t get away from this guy. First he stinks my Broncos up and now I have to listen about how bad he is on local sports talk?! Sorry this is so long with no BLUF, but I have to catch up: Congrats on the podcast victory! Ryan, I think I actually found this podcast shortly after you started on it. I’m not a true OG, but before that was probably just okay anyways ?. I hope you all are safe from the bomb cyclone, and if you’re ever in Culpeper, VA you gotta check out Grill 309. http://grill309.com/#menu My treat.
Much love and GO BRONCOS!!!

Finally got caught up! Just gone midnight and I’m up for work in just under 6 hours but I’m up-to-date!
Hope you guys have got through the bombcyclone okay and Zac wasn’t blown into Oz on his way home!
Would you mind checking out my comment on the previous pod that I figure I posted between you recording this Pod and it going live?
Cheers guys and, as ever, loving your work!

I saw an interview with Elway and Fangio, and when no prompt on bolles was given he said he is happy with the tackles they have right now. Do you think this would be telling as to not drafting a tackle with at least a high pick? Are there any raw guys in the draft that we could get in the 5th or so for muncheke to develop?
Queen City Bronco
I think we’re all missing the obvious play this year. Broncos are obviously drafting Jawaan Taylor in the 1st, and Connor McGovern in the 2nd. Jawaan and Ju’Wuan at tackles, Connor McGovern and Connor McGovern on the interior. I feel sorry for Leary, being the odd man out, but maybe next year there’s another McGovern or Jawaan Denver can draft.

Guys..
Couple things.. This part is off topic of everything. I had someone question my Champ Bailey fandom at work today and i had to give them a lesson. My office at work has a mini Champ Bailey statue picking off a pass, and a signed Champ Bailey action shot (authenticated and all) annnd my Daughters initials are C.B.. Non of this is important, just feel its proper to bring up because of my name on here.
Also Kareem Jackson and Chris Harris are the same player and i could not be anymore excited for this pick up..
Just say to yourself we get to have Chris Harris times two out there in the secondary.. It sounds pretty great.
Yall are the best, keep up the good work!

Welp guys, I think I’m starting to really internalize the Broncos aren’t going QB in round 1 this year, even if they had their pick of all three at 10. As painful as it is to arrive at that, these past few pods have really probably been the bucket of cold water I needed dumped on me to accept Elway’s win-now plan. Ugh… I guess go Flacco then? Also, this makes me think of another potential issue for all of us dreamers that Denver will finally have a young QBOF for the next 10-15 years. If Elway truly believes a QB is more likely to win later in there career, what’s to stop Elway from just continuing to find re-tread QBs with upside moving forward rather than actually solving the problem long term and simply being patient? A scary thought indeed, and sadly it almost makes me hope Flacco doesn’t work out so that Elway can fully decide to rebuild. There’s only so much time Von and Chris have left, the either way the team seems likely to face a rebuild in the next 3-5 years regardless, and it’s a sobering thought that Elway may never find a qb while he’s in charge…

I just watched a video interview with Elway and Fangio discussing the recent signing of Jackson and James. I like the chemistry between Elway and Fangio. I know it’s still early but after the VJ debacle and the departure of Gary, I think Fangio was truly the right man to pair with John.
Ryan the sushi course you experienced at Sasabune was called omakase (oh-mah-kah-say) which means the chef can serve you whatever he wants you to eat. Props for trying that because the sushi chef there is nicknamed the Sushi Nazi. Glad you enjoyed it!
Ok your recollection of eating that amazing chicken dish in a “grocery store” is both puzzling and intriguing. What island was it on and what year was it? I’ll tweet ya when I figure it out. But next time you’re in town let me know and we’ll feast on some ono (delicious)food

Hey guys, i love the effort of putting out a podcast in the whether conditions you had yesterday, i really apreciated.
Yesterday a heard all arround a lot o pessimism about the ofensive line and i dont get it, we upgraded at tackle, we have the draft were im sure we will get a guard but most of all we have munchack who had the #1 ranked line last year he didnt have first rounders all across his line i think we upgraded the most important position COACH. The patriots had a top 5 line and the only good thing they had was their coach, they do this every year. Last yearfinnished ranked 24 (not 32), with munchack, james and a draft pick i think we can get to top 16.

Hey BSN Family,
Hope you guys are safe after that storm.
Had a couple of things that I wanted to run past you guys.
First, is there anyone on the roster that we can restructure to get extra cap space this year? Was just wondering if they could free up some extra money this year?
Second, a friend of mine brought up this question and we wanted to get your take on it. Has Denver considered hiring Champ Bailey in a specialist role like they did with Ware this past year?
Third, what would have the 2018 Broncos look like if Falco was the QB and not Case? Playoff? Winning season?
Lastly, what would the Broncos have looked like if Kubiak didn’t step down as coach after the 2016 season? That team was 9-7 and missed the playoffs by one game. I felt Seimen did enough for us to win games that season. We need to remember that the Tom Brady we know now was not the Tom Brady that won those first three SuperBowls. Do you see them winning another SuperBowl? How does that change the draft and free agency in your opinion? And probably the most important question: is Phillip Lindsay on the team at all? Please say yes.
Thank you for the off-season coverage so far. So pumped for the draft.

While I may not have a great grip on reality I like the idea of bargain shopping: do you see guys like Austin Seferian Jenkins, Jamie Collins (might be a stretch money wise), Danny Shelton, Quinton Spain (only gave up one sack last year would allow Conner to go to center) being within the Broncos budget? Obviously not all of them probably just one if any. Also, why do I feel like Shaq has been met with a super cold market, seems like its a depleted pass rusher FA group thought he would be a hot name.

Just remembered that collins plays on the outside the place I looked at had him listed on the inside smh what about Mark Barron instead?

Warm snow bomb free wishes guys. Wanted to give a quick food thing then football. Kentucky Hot Brown. Warm toast with sliced turkey (can be lunchmeat or actual turkey breast) smothered in Mornay sauce topped with bacon and a fresh tomato slice. Its heaven. Next time your in Cincy if you find a small diner across the river here in KY ask for it and you will be happy. No worthy burger talk around here. On to football. Has there been any word on how Elway feels on Will Grier. Im not a fan being in Louisville seeing him play the Cardinals he didn’t impress me. Ive come to terms that Flacco is the win now plan but if we dont get a top tier qb I just dont want Grier. Thanks guys and keep up the incredible work champs!

I’m to go to ask this question a few times through the off season, as things stand now, what are your expectations/predictions for next season? Will be interesting to see how this changes with the draft/ota’s/training camp.

Just saw the BroncosTV interview with Elway and Fangio and it seems clear to me that Elway feels good about Bolles and James so I’d put money down that #10 is not going to be an OL. Feels like CB or ILB now right? or QB as the dark horse. Have you guys seen it? We know Elway is usually transparent so it felt like he was being earnest on feeling good about his tackles on each side. I can see Kareem at safety if we get a CB at #10 since Fangio was non committal on his position. Do you guys agree?

So Jared Cook is still out there…I know I know, we only have money to get two free agents don’t yell at me RK, but after finding out Jackson’s deal is only hitting 5-6 million this year and considering we will have to resign Heuerman anyways why not just spend a little more for Cook? Instead of 3 years for 18 mill for Heuerman(god forbid) we can get cook for maybe 2 more mill a year. …I might be dreaming….I just think it would be cool to fix two of our perennially awful positions in tight end and right tackle. Thoughts???
by the way I am truly enjoying the offseason coverage. I almost like this time of year more than the actual season. I’ve been doing a lot of Bronco rebuilds on Madden. Drew Lock in that game is a beast.
Cheers boys.
