The way Cole had been playing I am probably more interested in seeing Graves play anyway since this season likely is not going anywhere. That being said, one can assume Cole is out because of that beating he took from Tom Wilson the other night. At one point does the NHL adopt a zero tolerance for fighting and say it isn’t worth ruining the rest of someone’s life to let players settle the score on the ice? If Wilson wasn’t a hockey player, considering his history, he would be behind bars.

It was a pretty cynical reaction for sure. Did anyone ever find out what was so vicious about Cole’s hit on Kuznetsov. It was supposedly serious enough for Kuznetsov to undergo concussion protocol during the game, but it certainly didn’t keep him off the ice in OT. Now, at the end of the day, Cole is the one with a serious concussion, one that Wilson will not be reprimanded for.

Broken orbital bone. The refs let it go too long.
