Belief has to be the mantra of the locker room right now.

It’s amazing that the Corsi graph has Avs positive the entire game and they lost so bad. WTF? Bad goaltending.

In an alternate universe, Francouz starts the game against the Rangers (As he SHOULD have) and wins that easy game 6-1 just as Grub did.

He’s rewarded with the next start and only needs to be not terrible for his second win in a row and we beat up on Winnipeg with a 41-20 shot advantage. Now there are stories being written about Pavel Francouz potentially saving the Avs playoff hopes.

But no, we need to keep trying to force Grub into the starting role so we can save face on the 3 year contract and move on from Varly. How many more BEATDOWNS do we need to see with Grubauer before we enter Carolina territory with Scott Darling?

Yes this right here. Feels like Bednar has no feel about goalies at all. Varly and Grubauer both been so bad too many times he should have brought Francouz up earlier. Now when he does and sees him play well and still won’t put him back in. I can’t believe it. Three games now in a short while the Avs lost because of a goalie and few earlier in the season.

But how about that pinch in to score by Graves! Good for him hope he stays for at least a while longer. I’d pick him over Barberio for now.

Agree it’s a positive that the team kept fighting. Again after the goalie gave the game away. Definitely a hopeful sign!

The level of effort looked good last night – hopefully, they can build off this effort and get things turned around before its too late.

Even with bad defense in front of him Grubauer just looked bad. It is rare to see an NHL goaltender be so far out of position on wrap around attempts every single time. It was like every move he made was an over reaction. Channeling his inner Budaj.

My takeaways:

1) Bednar probably should have played a goalie instead of a thin screen of wet toilet paper.

2) Groobs plays like poop, so maybe that’s what confused Bednar.

3) Greer is a way better choice than any of the undersized guys on the 4th line right now. I know the Jets are on the big side even by NHL standards, but it just looked like they were playing a pee-wee team too often last night. Also everyone on the 4th really has no upside or long term future with the Avs or in the NHL really at all so WHAT THE FUCK IS BEDNAR DOING PLAYING THEM INSTEAD OF GREER >:

Sometimes not having a like button on these threads really sucks lol.

And that heat map is insane considering who we were playing on the road, and what the score ended up being. Have we had one all season with no fully red/orange sections?
