Hey, Henry! It’s good to have football back. Hopefully we really able to play out this season in it’s shortened form. Fingers crossed.

What a first week. I’ll go on record and admit that I didn’t expect much from Sam Noyer at all. Over the years in the limited time that he got at QB, I didn’t see anything that indicated that I’d be sitting here with egg on my face after his first start. I honestly thought that he’d struggle and end up having to hit the bench. Man, was I wrong. He played outstanding! I really feel Coach Chev put him into a good rhythm with all the short passes and got Noyer’s confidence rolling. And the running Sam did was huge in that regard as well. For anyone feeling themselves because they didn’t openly doubt Noyer, chill. Have a seat. No one in the fan base knew what Noyer had in the toolbox before this game. Now we know. Let’s see how it goes the rest of the way.

On the Stanford game, as worrisome as Peat and Jones can be for us, I’m a bit more worried about a decent QB throwing to all of those jumbo pass catchers. We definitely can’t be blowing coverage when it’s already going to be a challenge to match up physically. Should be interesting though. Let’s hope we can put up the same type offense again.

Thanks and have a great weekend!
