I want to be able to celebrate a moral victory: The Broncos beat the spread and kept it an interesting game deep into the fourth quarter… And for the most part, Lock made good decisions and looked like a real NFL QB.
But the cowardly punt sticks in my craw. Fangio had to know that the chances of holding Mahomes & Co. to a short drive were slim and none. At that point, he raised the white flag- content to have kept the game close.
I think Fangio tried to make up for being overly aggressive in the first half by playing scared when the game was on the line. SMMFH
