Hey guy’s
I just want to voice a concern with the Denver Broncos fan base. It’s literally like watching a bunch of children bitchin and moaning about every thing. I get it they have been spoiled with a qb during the Payton years but i guess most forgot the 2000’s after Elway. I’m literally just happy to have a quarterback that wants to win and shows it. That’s why I was perfectly happy with Tebow, he might not of been good but that want and will to win made me happy. Not even Payton showed that kind of want emotion out there.
Peace and much love

Hey guys! I know this topic has been and will continue to be beaten to death, but I have to comment on the idea that Drew Lock can’t be a leader because he screwed up, shouldn’t be trusted anymore, or that no other leader would make this mistake. Here’s a non-exhaustive list of Denver players who have made mistakes that hurt their team:
Von Miller – 6 game suspension for violation of NFL’s substance abuse policy
T.J. Ward – 1 game suspension for violation of the league’s personal conduct policy
Aqib Talib – 1 game suspension for poking Dwayne Allen in the eye (he also shot himself in the leg in the offseason), also suspended for 1 game for the fight with Michael Crabtree
Philip Lindsey – thrown out of a game for throwing a punch
Kareem Jackson – suspended for two games for DUI
Tim Patrick – thrown out of a game for throwing a punch
All of those players, except maybe Tim Patrick, would be considered leaders of this team during their time on the team. They all made mistakes that cost the team, but hopefully learned from them. I get that QB is the most important position and Drew’s mistake included his fellow QBs. However, I would also note that Ben Roethilsberger served a four game suspension for conduct far more egregious than anything Drew Lock did, as did Jameis Winston who served a three game suspension.
I get that Lock screwed up and, in conjunction with the other QBs, put the team in a horrible spot. But I think a little perspective is in order in terms of condemning him to the trash heap of history. He can, and hopefully will, learn and grow from this. Sorry for the long comment, but it felt like some perspective was necessary.

Get yourselves a Kendall Hinton jersey. Do it now. Don’t wait. I’ll say this all week.

MavBronco
It would be awesome if the Broncos would run a sale for the guy, something like all of his jerseys that are sold for 5 days, profits go straight to him. His salary is rough
OnionTownLynx
I was actually thinking more about this and buying jerseys is just giving the same NFL that helped push Hinton into this situation money. So… yeah still buying a jersey

Reposting from last week.(missed the cutoff) Can we take a quick second and talk about the raiders? They are currently standing at 6-4, wanna guess there record last year at this time? Yup, 6-4. Last year they laid an egg and finished the season 7-9. Will they repeat this trend?
*now 6-5
MavBronco
Howdy gents,
Moving on from that abomination we were forced to endure, I wouldn’t be surprised if the league continues its harsh stance on this and since the Broncos are repeat offenders, ends up upping the draft pick forfeiture to a 5 or 6, vs the 7 the saints lost last week.
Also, just looking ahead, if the Broncos were to double dip in rounds 1 and two of the upcoming draft what position would you want that to be in? CB, DL, elsewhere?
Thanks for the pod as always
At least I have bbq
My boys! I’ve been listening to the pod now since preseason last year. Finally had the opportunity to treat myself and subscribe. You got me. Now for my question I was wondering in the off chance we win against kc (witch I would love since I live there and my wife is a die hard kc fan). How would the narrative surrounding Drew Lock change especially after this fiasco we called a game.
TKFreese
My boys! I try to always be positive in this chat and on all formats, but I could not stay quite after some of yesterday’s comments. Questioning lock as a leader?!?! Because of what? He let his mask slip a couple times when putting in EXTRA WORK!! I’m sorry, it’s insane to question the young mans integrity and leadership because of this!! Absolutely ridiculous. Not saying you gentlemen did, but some of this comments Infuriated me. Everyone is Entitled to there own opinion, but you weren’t even there nor have you seen the video of what truly happened. If you need anymore clarity, go see what drew locks mom wrote on the situation. Come on guys, his super young just trying to dig this franchise out of the crapper. He literally let his guard down (but instead mask down) and we crucify him? I’m sorry, no, Drew Lock is a leader and one I would love to go to battle with. Drew lock is my QB.
Casper
Fellas,
I’m not sure if this has been brought up. But why doesn’t the NFL seem to care that multiple times during every game coaches will talk to the refs and pull their masks down to do so? I thought that masks are required 100% of the time? And on that note is there procedures that the refs have to go through for their own testing and quarantining? How say you?
Just saw that Fangio is considering punishing the QBs in addition to the abomination of a game that happened on Sunday. If they suspend Drew internally, they’ve made their decision on him already, in my opinion; otherwise, you HAVE to let him play to continue to show what he’s got. What say you?

BRONCOS-SQUARED
Hey gang.
In your vast array of Football knowledge, have you heard of any complaints brought forth by other teams in the NFC about Sunday’s game? I feel bad for those teams and their playoff picture watching another team getting an “etched in stone” win. Also, would you take Carson Wentz right now if he were available? No way he’s worth a first rounder at this point.
Thank you, you dashing lads.

Rock Bottom?
That ain’t Rock Bottom! I schemed up some magic and we scored a whole three points!
And now, guess who’s coming to Denver? My son, Kyle! I call him Slyle Kyle.
BroncoLand now has two Shurmurs!!!!! lol. We gonna own this team soon.
Man, it’s good to be Shurmur right now.
I’m feeling so confident, watch me dial up some bombs this week, points be raining down!
Shurmur, Shurmur, Shurmur!

My boys! Happy Tuesday! I want to start off by saying that I got some breckenridge beer last night. As someone who isn’t a big fan of beer and prefers whiskey and scotch I was skeptical but the holiday ale and the strawberry skye lived up to the they hype and I was thoroughly impressed.
Now for the broncos! Garret Bolles has been amazing! So glad he was able to make the jump this year to an elite left tackle. I really hope that cushenberry can make a similar leap in his second year with munchak next year, and maybe even Muti. If Muti and Cush both look good next year and James doesn’t do you think there’s a possibility Risner gets miracles out to right tackle and Muti takes over guard? I know risner played some tackle in college but would hate to make him switch positions in his third year, thoughts?

Fellas! I know we need to move past that garbage show from Sunday but I’m very interested in what punishment the NFL hands down. I’m curious to see what punishment the Ravens receive compared to the Broncos. I get that the Broncos were forced to play because it wasn’t considered an “outbreak.” However, when it comes to punishment, if the Broncos are punished more I will have a real issue. If that’s the case then we are treating potential exposures worse than actual exposures. Why are teams being punished for breaking a procedure, and not actually contracting COVID, but a team that has a huge outbreak gets off? Also if this meeting happened Tuesday, and the team practiced all week, how was the rest of the players/coaches not considered high risk exposures? Why just the qbs when they were then integrated with the team all week? Seems fishy and I’m so frustrated trying to untangle all these issues. It comes down to the NFL having zero consistency and looking like bafoons. End rant, go Broncos and go DNVR!

The OFFICIAL Screw this post!!!
Screw this NFL that allowed that game
Screw this NFLPA that didn’t even stand up to NFL. They are supposed to look out to player safety and not allow this. PATHETIC. Sure if Hinton made 40M a year, they would have.
Screw this Pat Shurmur for continuing to call his game, not one that fits the team
Screw this QB room, for being slack
Screw this GM for signing a worthless QB for backup, who being unlucky enough to catch the Virus and lead to this week we just endured. Waste of money.
Screw this Trustee’s group. Sell the team, so we can have an owner
Screw the Bowden kids for allowing this to fester while fighting to get control
Screw this Goodell guy. All football fans hate him. Pathetic management of COVID and a great game. Everyone boos the commish a bit, but it’s gone to a new level under Roger’s watch.
Being halfway around the world, please advise, do the Trustee’s have the right to sell the team with the Bowden’s getting a portion of the proceeds? Our beloved team needs ownership badly. Screw this Joe Ellis who won’t do it as he wants to keep his job. UGH!!!
dan birk
hey guys!
can we talk about rob calabrese real quick? i know he’s ‘just’ an offensive quality coach at the moment but i think he might have a bright future in the league.
he broke all of boomer esiason’s records in high school and then went on to be the qb at ucf for a few years (before bortles took over). he then made the switch to receiver in his junior year. some of his teammates said he was the smartest player on the team and knew the playbook inside out- which was also what was being reported when the broncos wanted to make him the qb this past week
he also ended replacing scangarello as OC at wagner and their offense ended up being more productive than it had with scangarello calling the shots. scangarello ended up bringing him here and calabrese was retained when they fired him.
we’re all starved of creativity and fresh ideas on offense that it’s gotten to the point where i’m interested in guys like azzanni and even a low-level coach like calabrese having a bigger role in game planning lmao. what do y’all think?
Seaton712
Aye Yo. Real quick one, at some point during every Broncos home game they do a camera shot of the white horse statue at the top of the stadium, so can we PLEASE clean off all the bird crap on it! It is embarrassing
larrydennjr
Thank U Laura Lock for saying what we all feel ! Zac ! I EMPATHIZE with You because hey don’t put yourself in that situation but this is Ticky TACKY ! B.S. AND IM interested to know if there’s clear rules ….Don’t eat in the building ….. Don’t lower your mask for any reasons while inside …SHOW THE VIDEO ! ….. Because while their trying to say broncos are repeat offenders ? I feel were owed a draft pick for this blatant B.s. …. BECAUSE OF INCONSISTENCY ! ……what was the rules for cam and stephon gilmore off sitW … When drew could have met with the qbs off sitE chose not to …to be safe !!!! …… How bout mahommes no.mask taking pictures with gilmore ….. Did he get isolated for 5 days ….the league told the titans to self quarantine they met off site together AND THE LEAGUE PUSHED THE GAME BACK !!!! Dude this is unfair to no end and ravens players were refusing to play ? So the LEAGUE PUSHED THE GAME BACK !!! THE BRONCOS GOT SCREWED ZAC …at this point you have to see the clear hypocrisy ….not to mention ALL THE QBS STILL TESTED NEGATIVE !!! EVERY LAST ONE !!! SMH. This sucks ! Broncos have by far been the team with the least cases since training camp.and now this ….pisses me off smh

MY BOYS!
If Sunday wasn’t rock bottom, I don’t want to know what rock bottom is. At this moment at least it seems to be but I was at the game against the raiders where we lost 59-10 or some absurd score like that in I think 2010. I’ve never been so numb at sports game in my life. But unlike 90% of fans that day I stayed in my seat the entire game. That game may still be lower than Sunday was. Make I liked what you said about it being easy to punish a non playoff team. Would the NFL have done this to Pat Mahomes and the Chiefs? Hell no they wouldn’t.
MarkITsnatch
Hey guys!
I’d rant about whatever the proper terminology is for that ship show on Sunday, but let’s move on to something sunnier: playing the chiefs in arrowhead… Good grief. Historically, this means it’s BBQ week on the pod. While the great bbq styles have come up, there are some lessor known ones around the country and world. For example: California has Santa Maria style, with slow roasted Tri-tip (the loin, sirloin, and tenderloin still in one piece), garlic butter bread, beans, and chicharrones. If you do it right, the meat is far more tender, juicy, and flavorful than any masterfully grilled brisket. For the californians listening, what are your go to places around the state? Mine is Marshall’s Bodacious in Ventura, about an hour north of LA. Look for the chicken on the roof
Orange and Blue all over
Two questions today:
1. Do you think NFL punishment of Broncos on the field by forcing the game will impact punishment off the field? Does it reduce chances we lose a draft pick?
2. Is it time for a salary cap on coaches salaries and amount of guaranteed salaries of players to keep the spirit of the equal playing field for all teams? How rich an owner is shouldn’t be key predictor in success of team. Thoughts?
Cheers, fellas!

My boys! I’ve been listening since June when I bought my first house and my commute went from just 15 minutes to over an hour! This podcast has made me actually look forward to my commute each and every weekday. So thank you! I am a first time subscriber and I really appreciate all the work you guys do. I live up in the Seattle area so it’s nice to get a slice of Broncos Country every day.
My question isn’t necessarily Broncos related, but I am curious how the 17th game will be determined starting next season. I feel like the NFL has the perfect schedule as it stands now and I feel like adding in an extra game throws a wrench in that. Thanks again for all you guys do and I’m so glad to finally be a member.

Haven’t commented in a while but Ryans take on Vic has me fired up. I’m going to preface this with I think nfl was mainly in the wrong for not pushing it back. That being said, Vic was fined in what week? Week 1?While covid numbers were far lower, when we had no clue how long the season would go on, when we had no clue teams would be heavily fined and draft picks taken away. Drew and the QB room was week f’ing week 12. I’m not “excusing” Vic, but he has done absolutely everything correctly since in terms of covid protocols. Drew and others quite possibly will be reason we don’t have a late draft pick. Not the worst thing but still. Drew and Company cost their team a game, they cost the team a potential fine and they cost their team a potential draft pick. Say Vic is the leader all you want, but he’s learned from his mistakes. 12 weeks later, QBs didn’t think oh now we can be relax because Vic was fined week 1. 53 adults on the roster. They don’t need a leader to tell them 11 months into covid to wear a mask. Apparently they need a babysitter
After listening to Ben Allbright’s complete timeline on Broncos Country Tonight I feel really bad for Drew. He has received a ton of flack for a really minuscule mistake. Horrible decision making by the NFL that may have huge implications on his career. I’ve never been a “Bleep Roger Goodell” guy, I am now a “Bleep Roger Goodell” guy.
Amirite or Amarillo
1. Just re-upped my membership. Didn’t realize it expired last week. You got me again.
2. To say Paxton would have worn a mask is hilarious. They were there on their day off. Paxton would have been at home playing Call of Duty.
3. For Mr. B in that old trophy case
4. To parrot TKfreese’s point. To simply state Drew is not a leader anymore because he made a mistake is ridiculous. Being a leader doesn’t make you more than human. Humans make mistakes. 24 year old humans make a lot of mistakes. This is not an example of Drew lacking character, concern, or leadership abilities. It’s an example of a kid who made a mistake and is paying dearly for it. He deserves to be shown grace and have the chance to grow and learn from the experience. How many folks would want every mistake they made at that age to be the lasting story on them as a person? Show grace. Move on.
DNVR4LIFE
My guys! First off, thank you for providing the best coverage in one of the hardest years for all of us! You guys are truly more than just a media outlet. Though I don’t live in Colorado, I still feel like part of the family and culture you guys have created.
Now, I just have to say to all of those who put all the blame on the QB’s, shame on you. I do not think any less of Drew. Drew made a mistake. Doesn’t everyone make mistakes? I try to be consciences of wearing masks were required, but I have forgot my mask as I walked into a gas station. So only those who haven’t messed up and have been absolutely perfect, great job, otherwise if you have made a mistake and are criticizing Drew and the QB’s you can jump in a lake.
I love Drew and hope he pops off these last few games so he can be here to stay and proves Vic Fangio wrong. Vic, in my opinion, doesn’t like Drew and wants a new quarterback. I hope I am wrong, but I don’t think Drew is the teams starting quarterback next year. And that sucks.
Now to my question. If we were to loose out, where would that put us (guessing of course) in the draft order? I would think top 10. Now, two questions, first, what quarterback would you draft with the 8th overall pick in this instance? Second, who is your #1 free agent quarterback you would pursue and get this off season to be the guy? Try to consider everything when signing the guy.
Thanks for all you are doing.
Another Ryan
MY BOYS! It felt good taking Roger Goodell and the NFL, I mean the trash and recycling that had piled up leading up to and after Thanksgiving, to the curb today. The latest clown to chime in on the situation, Jerry Jones told a Dallas radio station today that the Broncos weren’t anymore challenged with Kendall Hinton than they were with Ben DiNucci. There is some serious delusion amongst the NFL and its owners. It’s clear: the Broncos team needs, and has needed, to be sold for quite some time. I hate to beat a dead horse (no pun intended for the Broncos), but how can the NFL in good faith justify moving a game originally scheduled for a Thursday all the way to a Wednesday, but cannot move a late Sunday afternoon game to a Tuesday? @bkoo on Twitter provided an apt summation:
NFL: We will not use basic common sense and add a week to the schedule so teams like the Ravens and Broncos are not forced into bad situations. This would somehow make us look dumb.
Also NFL: We will play on Wednesday at 3:40 because NBC has to air a Christmas tree getting lit.
Thanks for helping us endure the absurdity of this season and year, fellas! DNVRMY SALUTE!

Hey boys,
Can you please describe the differences in the Jobs of Elway and Ellis. I think there is a confusion around Bronco Country on their specific roles with regards to the football side of operations and would love to better describe it in conversations.
The Big T
You guys missed out my comment in last pod. So I’ll post it again, and if you don’t read again, then I’ll get the message, nudge nudge, wink wink..
Right, so I basically said “what has Drew done wrong here?” – he took off his mask to eat food, and was close to someone who has SINCE had a positive Covid test. Big deal? Everyone’s talking like he’s slept with a hooker or performed Bass to Mouth with Brett Rypien (South Park reference for those not in the know).
Not trust him again? Are you guys nuts? Or am I totally missing something here. Your President doesn’t even wear a mask. Half your country doesn’t (statistic plucked from thin air as I rant). Come on everyone, Drew Lock is the bad guy??
Peace out and love to Drew

What’s up my dudes. Thank you guys for keeping me going during these tough times as a die hard Bronco fan.
Really hoping this past weekend pissed the team off and brings them together to put on a good showing Sunday night against KC. We are about to see what this team is all about coming off of a situation that no team has ever had to experience before. Really hoping Drew and the team uses this big F-U the NFL gave them and shoves it back in there face on National TV against their darling QB.
And I can’t help but notice how the schedule is set up for Drew’s final two auditions of the season to be against the two AFC West quarterbacks that he is trying to prove he is as good as. We should get a very good look at how he stacks up. Two biggest games of his life.
Last thing – Travis Kelce is a piece of shit and I hope Kareem lights his ass up!! Hate that guy.
