Backtrack to the 2018 draft. Instead of the Nelson or Chubb debate should we be disappointed that we passed on Josh Allen?

I’m not the biggest Allen fan nor do I think he would’ve meshed well with VJ or Fangio like he has with Sean McDermott. With that being said, when he is used right, he looks like a capable QB in this league and one you can take deep in the playoffs with. So excuse me while I live in my alternate reality where we hired Kyle Shanahan and drafted Josh Allen.

As for the real world? It’s a world of suck and I still find myself watching until the end.

On a side note am I the only one who dislikes the 10 minute single overtime rule? I understand not wanting to keep the game going into a double OT but why not play at least a full 15 minutes or go with the NCAA OT rules? I just hate ties I guess.

Heres to better days and many Breck brews along the way!

Cheers fellas!

The offense is not on time. The offense is running late. Holding, offense, number 68.

For real, if the Broncos do not win against the Jets on Thursday night, even with Drew Lock back in the fold, the Broncos go 0-16 for the season.

hey guys!

bring on the messiness on thursday!!! y’all already know gase has had this game circled since the schedule came out so i can easily see the broncos losing this game. remember the last two road games vs adam gase led teams? the broncos were outscored by 69 (?) to 25.

what do y’all think the repercussions would be for both gase/fangio if their teams lose on thursday?

i can’t see gase surviving with a blowout loss. as for vic, i always thought he gets 2020 and 2021 regardless, but the team looked unmotivated and uninspired last night, which is usually a slippery slope. the second they start to tune him out it might be over for vic- and we already know he isn’t necessarily a well liked coach in the locker room. it’s not like VJ where players went to bat for him in 2018.

Hey fellas ….. I’m.not exaggerating but I can not remember the last time I’ve seen a broncos team.this bad it’s almost as if we weren’t a professional team yesterday. I’m team #inelwaywetrust however inelwaywe bust as well ….what could have Melvin Gordon’s contract money gone too what could have draft picks gone to if we can not protect.the qb with a viable offensivline…. or at least protect qb play with a viable contract offer to a backup ….God I wish we had case keenum now ! Or andy dalton screw it start blake bortles Jeff it’s shameful you can not see wide open targets or make throws to wide open individuals this is just sad sad sad !!!!! In closing I feel bad for Shelby ….our highest graded player by PFF that gives this team a chance to win every week since week one whose UNDERPAID ….and getting older and all he’s known is losing since coming here he deserves better then this And I wish we could give him a 5m bonus for all he’s done here because he’s going to be 29 next year and under appreciated playing on a bad bad team Shelby thank you ………. Man do we suck I’m trying to temper expectations but this is UNWATCHABLE ! EMBARRASSED to any tampa fan that had to watch that hot garbage ! …. Dude I couldn’t even be excited about fantasy because Tim Patrick got the td ! And whose starting time Patrick I’m fantasy football !!! Smh ?

Hi guys. Forgive me a slight rant. At this point I am angry and starting to feel like Munchak has said “F it. I don’t care what happens here any more.” At this point even if it is a bad thing I want to see other tackles on the field. And for beeps sake has someone pointed out to Shurmur that the line is a sieve and he cant count on protection for more than a 1 count. Can we get a petition to the nfl to let the Broncos go to playground rules where we sit the O line and the opposing D has to count 1 one thousand 2 one thousand then move so we can field a team that looks like a pro team and not a peewee league contender…. South Park cut outs were appropriate this season. We are a bottom feeding comedy sketch. My only question for you guys, does this ineptitude continue until the ownership nightmare ends? Rant over. Later fam.

I was a big fan of the Broncos putting the South Park cardboard cutouts in the stands. However, I wasn’t as pleased with the Broncos putting 5 cardboard cutouts along the offensive line yesterday.

Also, this defense right now looks like it’s lacking serious leadership. I bet they wish they had Todd Davis right now. That cut is looking worse with every game.

Genius move by the marketing team! 5-6 national stories this morning about the South Park cutouts, not a one about the abysmal on field product. Control that narrative!

1. Should we have stuck with Scangs over Shurmur?
2. Are we going to be a bad team until we figure out ownership? What is the latest with that family battle? I say we sellout and get Jeff Bezos to get that KC money
3. Reflect on the days of Mr.B *sigh*
4. TB12 had a losing record against Denver, Bucs hadnt won in Denver in 25 some years, Titans hadnt won in Denver since they were the oilers, no back to back losing seasons in 30 years. The prestige of the Broncos is chipping away and I hate to see it.

wentz has suffered a significant regression since scangarello became his ‘senior offensive assistant’ (his qb coach, basically), and daniel jones is looking worse since shurmur left so nah they made the right call.

1) No.
2) No.
3) *wistful sigh*
4) Tampa Bay is going to be in the Super Bowl if time doesn’t catch up with Brady quickly. That offense really started to click for the first time this season. I imagine this is what it felt like to be a Chargers fan* when Manning put it all together in 2013.

Would I love a win? Of course. At this point though, I just want to see something to give me hope. I’m watching all these other games around the league and they all make it look so easy. So easy to pass over the middle of the field, so easy to run the ball, so easy to score points, so easy to get sacks, so easy to get turnovers, the list goes on and on. When I watch the Broncos, I find myself just hoping for a first down. What needs to change for this team to at least be competitive again?

Can’t believe we are a short week trip to NYC away from back-to-back 0-4 starts for the Denver Broncos. If we lose Thursday night then we are fully in play for Trevor Lawrence fellas. If we are 0-4 then I’d say let Drew get 100% healthy, which at that time we will probably around 0-8. Let him come back and see if he can get enough wins to stay out of the #1 draft position. If he does what he did last year then yeah he is showing again that he can be the guy and he gets 2021. If the team ends up bombing then we get a generational QB. I’ve been a Drew Lock guy but we need a franchise altering shift I’m afraid right now. This is probably a crap take but I’m at a loss.

Fangio keeps putting Ojemudia on an island on plays and he’s gotten burned a couple of times because of it. That may not make sense if you want to win the Steelers game, but if you want him to be a strong CB3 later in the season, it makes a ton of sense.

Starting Wilkinson is clear malpractice if you want to succeed in 2020, but if you want Wilkinson to be a long term backup swing tackle, doesn’t he need the game time?

Playing Driskel without the RPO is malpractice if you want to beat the Bucs, but what if you want your other players getting reps in the offense Drew Lock will be running in a couple weeks?

As fans, we always want to win now, but maybe the coaches are taking the long view on this team. That they aren’t very concerned with winning now, and are more focused on developing the talent that will have this team winning in 2021.

Do coaches think in those terms, or am I just in the bargaining stage of the 2020 season?

So here’s the thing…

The Broncos have lost three straight to three playoff teams two of which might win their division. That’s what playoff teams do they beat non playoff teams which would be the Broncos.
Two months ago we said the ceiling of this team this season would be a wild card round win max. Minus a Drew, a Von, an AJ, a Courtland, to name a few make the ceiling of this team 8-8. The sky is not falling because this injured young mediocre team lost to the NFLs most talented roster on paper.
That being said I will change my tune if the Jets hand us an L. After watching the colts clobber the Jets interior pressure on Sam Darnold is a must.
How do you guys like the match up of our D line vs the Jets O line this week and which Jets WR poses the biggest threat?

OhMaHa

OhMaHa

September 28, 2020

Remember as recently as last Monday when there was “no way” they could lose to the Jets? Do the Jets have living, breathing human beings who can rush the passer? ?

Never say never when it comes to the depths of the abyss this Broncos team can sink to under Elway’s roster construction.

I’m going to prepare my crypt for a long winter’s slumber, my gents. Time has come to drink the blood of mortals and then snuggle up with an Ancient Tome about Super Bowls past. ‘Twill likely be Mase’s book that accompanies me in my darkest chamber while I snuggle myself in a blanket woven of cheese and heartache. Goodnight for now dearest souls. I’ll emerge when the Young Count Lockula starts vanquishing enemies and stealing the life from those that have taken so much from us this last half decade.

This season was over the moment Ju’wan James opted out and we stuck with Wilkinson. He’s going to be beat every game.

Also Justin Simmons is making John Elway look real smart out there. Just doesn’t look good. Let him walk

Listen fans have to relax, stop saying fire fangio, I’m a die hard too but I understand football. we have eight staters out, any team without there starting qb, Lt, wr, rb, cb, de, mlb, and olb, who happens to be von fricken Miller would look like s**t…. were gonna get guys back and this team is gonna look better as the season goes on, and from a long term perspective, fangios defense always hits its stride in year 3. our extremely young team is going to develop, we will be fine, we prolly won’t make the playoffs this year, but this team finally has a plan and in my opinion a bright future.

Hey guys,

Although I have already started to think about it, especially after yesterday, but if we lose to the jets, is it time to start thinking about finding a new coach? It may seem a little soon but it’s two straight 0-4 starts to start his tenure. I get injuries, major injuries but that’s a part of the game. You should still compete, and yesterday was not competing. We’ve seen awful clock management, terrible decision making about the line, an abysmal offense and our defense looks mediocre. Isn’t this guy supposed to be a defensive genius? We rarely blitz and just allow teams to march down the field and hope for bend don’t break. We don’t pressure the qb at all. Maybe he should watch our offensive film to see what other teams do to us. It’s an all out assault 50% of the time and it forces our qbs to make quick decisions and that’s when mistakes are made. Also how does a defensive genius have Malik Reed lined up in the slot against Chris Godwin on that play in the third quarter? A pee wee football coach wouldn’t do that.

One more thing, a message to John Elway: champions are built from the inside out. Instead of drafting all these weapons for Drew maybe think about fixing the line so we can get the ball to them. If we don’t address these tackles in the off-season then maybe we need a new GM too.

I wasn’t able to watch the game as it wasn’t shown in my market, but I listened and I share the frustrations of all of Broncos Country. Most of it has already been hashed out but I have one point on the defense. RK said they needed to hold Tampa to 17 points. Take away the TD off the blocked punt and the safety and they held them to 19 points – and only 3 in the second half. I just can’t hold this defense, missing the players it is missing, responsible for not being able to overcome the offensive struggles and special teams mistakes.

I was just about to make the same comment. I’m veering on the side of “yes, bad. seems like he’s phoning it in.” Eli is a train wreck and Garrett is just a taller Pygmie to Eli. I am struggling with Eli over Dotson. I am wondering if Calvin Anderson too.

September 28, 2020

I’m sorry, but I just don’t see Simmons as an elite safety. I hope he proves me wrong at some point this year, but for now, I think Elway made the right call.

Hey Guys first post in a while. I’ll keep it short. With the news of Casey just breaking and the likelihood that is his last game in Denver along with Von, Simmons and Shelby Harris to name four. Is this team going to be ready for a playoff run next year? Please give me some optimism as I feel like Phil from Groundhog Day watching my Broncos year on year. Thank you guys stay safe ??????? Who hates who more: DNVR and Nick Wright, or MGK and Eminem?

Real talk though, does part of the culture that the broncos have right now have to deal with no real owner after Pat Bowlen died? Does any of this culture have to do with the leadership not just of John Elway, but Joe Ellis as well?
