Colton Strickler kicks off a shorter show by talking about the most recent MLR news in ‘The Breakdown’. After that, Colton sits down for a conversation with USA Rugby Hall of Famer and Glendale’s Director of Amateur Rugby Luke Gross about his 13-year professional rugby career, his international rugby career, and his Hall of Fame induction. Following the interview, Colton talks about Mark Bingham’s legacy in ‘Required Reading’ and closes the show with ‘The Loop’.
Luke Gross is currently Glendale’s Director of Amateur Rugby and most recently served as the Colorado Raptors defense coach for the 2020 season. Gross was elected into the U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame in 2019. Gross earned 62 caps for the United States and was a part of three Rugby World Cup teams. His 13-year professional rugby career included stops at Harlequins, Rovigo, R. Roma, Scarlets, Rotherham, Newcastle, Doncaster, and Sheffield. Following his playing career, Gross served as the head coach for the Sacramento Express during the Professional Rugby Organization’s lone season in 2016.
