Hey MY BOYS!
It’s been a while since I’ve commented, sorry for the absence. I still listen every day though!
Two questions for you guys.
1st.
Obviously Jerry Jeudy is that guy we think is going to hit instantly. But I’m intrigued into who will be the Philip Lindsay of this class! I remember seeing Phil at training camp, not knowing who he was, but knowing he would be special. Who is that guy this year? I know strnad is small but he is my pick.
Second. I am trying to figure out what I might want to do outside of the military. I do like the field I am in now, however teaching has always intrigued me, especially history, but I’m worried (especially now) about the money in it. Another career I’ve thought of is politics! With everything crazy going on, I thought I could pursue being a new age politician that has experienced all of this craziness in his mid twenties, and could bring a new wave of ideas! I know I gotta decide on my own, but would love to hear your thoughts.
Sorry for the long comment,
Thanks for keeping us going in these wild times.
Cheers,
TommyBronco

I can’t speak to the politics idea (although I’d vote for you!) I would advise that choosing to teach or not is about what you want from a career. No, you won’t make a lot of money, but it’s one of the most rewarding things you can do with your life. I had to make a similar decision when considering ministry as a career and while I’m only a few years in I wouldn’t change it for the world. I also work as a substitute teacher and a high school soccer coach and it’s truly amazing to see a group of kids grow and learn and mature and to be a part of that process.
There are plenty of valid reasons for seeking the stability and financial security of other fields, but I would say that you don’t need to worry about regretting the choice to pursue teaching. (Especially teaching history!)
Best wishes for your future and thank you for your service.

Hey guys! And welcome back, Zac!
Yesterday’s discussion had me thinking: if Adam Gase is great with office personnel, and notorious with the players, and with his brilliant understanding of the game, is he be better suited to be a GM rather than a head coach?
And speaking of Gase, we examine his former employer, the Miami Dolphins. Let’s be honest, it’s not pretty. The teams are 12-6-1 all time, and football fans were robbed of two of the game’s greats facing off more often. Marino and Elway only played each other 3 times. The only time the orange and blue (sorry, seafoam is a shade of green, not blue) was when everything was on the line in the playoffs. Is the 1998 divisional round spanking the best Broncos Dolphins game, or does something top it?
MarkITsnatch
Also, Mase, how the The Battle of The American Bulge fair for the Bucs?

Thanks boys, I’ve now got bubbles on the mind. All kinds!
Go Champagne! Go baths. Go Trouble the board game. Go Don Ho. Go Seinfeld episode 7, season 4. Go Iowa tests and scantron sheets. Go Carbonated beverages. Go Iceman.
That having been said, do you think the Shurms will run a plethora of Bubble screens with Our two backs? If for nothing else, just to have a theme in the offense?

BLUF: I love all of you and every Denver team is young and hungry.
Friends! It’s been a long minute since I’ve been active with the comments. These last few months have been hard for everyone and I’ve found myself at the end of long days of walking with friends through this nightmare summer and haven’t had the energy to sit and compose a comment here. But I want to say you all have been so helpful to my soul these last few months. thanks for continually putting out this pod!
Also a few weeks ago I was included in a list of “DNVarmy hall of famers” and when I say I SCREAMED I mean it! I’m honored, I’m shocked, I’m not convinced lol.
Ok ok ok, I should ask a question. Sports coming back all at once has given us all the chance to look at and compare all the Denver teams and my big takeaway is this:
Has there ever been SO MUCH young talent across Denver sports? Every team feels on the cusp of breaking into a new stratosphere in their respective leagues and it’s got me REALLY excited.
Go America, Iceman, Drew Lock, MPJ, Trevor Story, Cale Makar, and everyone that makes dnvr DNVR

Hey guys, not many comments, so here’s a mega long one (that’s what she said)…
Catching up on podcasts and heard some fine Australian Gentleman had sent you some Vegemite to try, and a lovely Brisbane Broncos Shirt. Very kind of him, but it reminded me that I promised to send you some Marmite in early Spring, then Covid hit, and I’d forgotten all about it..
So, as I spent a while trying to find various places that would send you Marmite, I stumbled across an Ex-Pat Store in Massachusetts, that would deliver to you. I got a bit carried away, but shipping was free on orders over $100, so, to coin your phrase “they got me!”
Some of these might need some explaining, and they are by NO MEANS the greatest culinary offerings our little island has to offer, in fact, Marmite is THE only one on this list that I actually eat (every morning!), but as you boys aren’t going to get to visit England this year, now all London games have been cancelled, I thought I would share a weird part of our little island with you.
Would be great to hear what you guys think of them, and please share them around the office, or even the bar, especially with Hank and Andre, as I am an avid listener of the draft pod too.
No need to read this out, but if any listener wants to see what I sent, here’s the list:
Marmite 125g × 1 $6.89
McVities Dark Chocolate Digestives 266g × 1 $5.95
McVities Ginger Nuts × 1 $4.95
McVities Digestives Original × 1 $4.95
McVities Hobnobs Original × 1 $5.95
Burtons Jammie Dodgers × 1 $3.95
Jacobs Jaffa Cakes × 1 $5.95
Bolands Bourbon Creams × 1 $1.99
PG Tips 80s × 1 $9.95
Crumpets × 2 $9.90
Walkers Prawn Cocktail Crisps × 1 $1.89
Jacobs Twiglets Original × 1 $1.95
Walkers Monster Munch – Pickled Onion × 1 $1.95
Walkers Worcester Sauce Crisps × 1 $1.89
Branston Original Sweet Pickle 310g × 1 $4.95
Barrs Irn Bru 4 Pack Cans × 1 $9.95
Mr Kipling Bramley Apple Pies 6 Pack × 1 $7.95
Robertsons Golden Shredless Marmalade × 1 $7.95
HP Sauce Original Squeezy 285g × 1 $4.95
Hendersons Relish 284ml Hendos × 1 $7.95
There is a great debate between Australia and Britain, as to which is better; Marmite or Vegemite. Obviously I am going to say Marmite, as it is easier to spread, tastes better, and the original (the Aussies tried to copy Marmite, and failed), so maybe you can do a taste test to settle the debate once and for all?
Toast some slices of bread, butter them to your normal amount, then spread a SMALL amount of Marmite on them. It’s an acquired taste, but I urge you to start small, otherwise you may be put off for life. Their slogan is “you either love it or hate it”, and it’s very true.
Peace out, and hope you enjoy at least some of these English Treats. Oh, and yes, they are actually ALL Vegan too. I wanted to send some Cadbury’s Chocolate too, but my conscience couldn’t do it, so maybe some other English listeners could send you some?

Would be nice for the others to try it on some steak, but I got that last one for you really, Mase 😉
The Big T
Oh, and I just realised that is a tiny jar of Marmite. So sorry, but I predict none of you will be a fan of it anyway, very few people are. You gotta try it once tho’ 😀

Hey fellas! With a slow off season I’ve come to just keep watching highlights of our rookies and one guy I keep going back to is Derrek Tuszka at NDSU the guy was a total beast! What do think his chances are of making this Broncos team, and if he does by what week do you think he’ll record his first sack? Yuh boiii Wildcard!

Hi guys. No question for you. Just to say hi as I’ve not commented in ages. Been hectic over here with work and the conclusion of the Premier League season. Plus I’m getting into learning more about the Rockies. Can’t wait for NFL to start again, and hopefully it will do safely. Hope you are all well. I think this is my year anniversary as a DNVR member so I’ll drink to that. Cheers! Charlie

first jamal adams gets traded and now marcus cannon and dont’a hightower are planning on sitting out for the year. those two games are back to back road trips and early in the season so the broncos are catching some lucky breaks!
also did y’all see that article matt miller from the bleacher report did? it was about players who are likely to breakout in the nfl this season (not specifically second year players) and it was sourced by scouts in the nfl. drew was the only qb mentioned and the scout questioned said this;
‘”He’s living in the massive shadows of [John] Elway and Mahomes, which is unfortunate because I do think he takes a giant step this year and is the best of the Year 2 quarterbacks.”‘
dan birk
add patrick chung to the list now! that’s 6 patriots’ players that are opting out. there’s got to be something more to that, no?

Best low-key tank for Trev plan yet.

Ahhhhh, sorry guys, just heard latest Pod, and heard Love Thunder Down Under’s comments on eating a tablespoon of Vegemite. Warning: if you do that, you will be put off it for life, as funny as it will be to see your faces screw up like that ?

We get mad Wednesday: I saw some of the NFL Countdown top 100 players and I am not even mad about not having many Broncos, that is what happens when you have poor records for a few years. BUT to tell me that Josh Allen, Ryan Tannehill, and Jimmy G are top QBs, I find it a bit of a stretch. I know that they were on an upward trend from last year but I can’t see them being a top 100. If Drew has the season we believe he should, him and the rest of the offense should be on the list. I also like JJ Watt and Clowney but they can barely stay on the field with all their injuries, they might as well have Antonio Brown on this list even though he isn’t in the league…Done Venting.
Thanks as Always

Hey guys so …. NFL top 100 is in the 40s and I have yet to see an offensivlinemen that’s crazy ? ……I’m nervous that 0 bronco’s make the list and for court to not be on it at all is a travesty ….. If Vons on it and Justin and courtland aren’t man that’s going to suck …….lol context on Keenan Allen I think he’s a Good player I think he had a few years where he was great as a bronco fan have I ever feared him hell no look at the numbers lol ……. But have I respected him 100 % until he kept.putting other people’s names in his mouth ur not good enuff to call out people ….any who ….. How bogus is this top 100 on a scale 1-10 if courtland and Justin Simmons aren’t on it ?

Top o’ the mornin lads, welcome to Titular Tuesday!
Enjoyed Monday’s pod greatly, the band analogy comment was awesome and reminiscing Elam’s tricky kick was ALSO awesome.
Freaking COVID though, man. So… I have a very unpopular opinion about how sports should be handled right now… and I HATE it because the idea of no sports KILLS my soul… but to be frank, with all the spikes, with all the Marlins news, it really just makes me wonder why we are playing sports at all right now. It’s almost like, say a man and a lady have some nice woohoo seshes, but only protect themselves every other time… then they’re SHOCKED when baby happens. …mind you, COVID is much more menacing than a child… but you get my point, right? ?
Joking aside… Maybe this is only a baseball issue since they arent enacting the bubble system. Butits a pandemic for haven’s sake, and we’re playing with fire here. I just feel like sports commissioners are stretching themselves thin trying to make these hundreds of modifications to seasons we, let’s just be real here, probably will not see through to completion. And for what? Prioritizing money and gratification over healthy lives… just bleh in my opinion.
I know NOBODY including myself wants to see sports disappear again (March-June were disheartening) but I really think if we just buckled down and tried to actually CONTAIN this thing before trying to hold these games, we’d ALL be a lot happier in the long run. A little short-term pain for the chance at long-term pleasure just sounds more ideal than trying to finagle a season full of risk.
I expect yall will disagree and I respect what you have to say, I just want to know your response to my thoughts. Love yall, fingers crossed indeed…

I am thinking of Beavis and Butthead right now stating, “Uh huhuhuhuhuh, uh huhuhuhuhuh, you said, titular.”

Alright, hopefully, this isn’t premature like yesterday: MY BOYS! Welcome back, Zac Attack! I hope that you had a great vacation. . . . Nine years ago today, I celebrated the end of the two-day grueling excursion that is the bar exam by attending opening day of training camp. I am sure going to miss doing so this season. . . . Circling back to yesterday’s podcast portion concerning the Colts-Broncos game from 2002 that was played in inclement weather leads to this question: Who was Indianapolis’ long snapper in that game? Hint: His name is weather-related. . . . Finally, I may be callous or insensitive, but I just don’t see how in the grand scheme of things that having to live in the bubble for part or all of the season would be overly burdensome. Nearly two decades ago, I lived in a third world country and did not see my family for two years and got to speak with them by telephone twice a year. In today’s day age, players would be well taken care of in the bubble, be able to video chat, text message, and see their families from time-time, all while being paid in the upper six figures to eight figures in salary. Where do I sign up for that?
Have a terrific Tuesday! DNVRMY SALUTE!

Aloha,
Loved hearing Ryan talk about setting up the 4 bubble cities in the 4 different zones in the US. I was talking with a client and fellow fan yesterday and we discussed the “what if” idea of: What if to make a smaller impact if people left the bubble all the bubble cities were small. College towns that are empty for covid distance learning we thought would make the most sense. What 4 cities would you choose?
Me: North West: Corvallis, Ore.
Southwest: Flagstaff, Az.
Southwest: Hattiesburg, Ms.
Northwest: Ithica, Ny.
Also wanted to chime in on the PB debate. I’m a creamy dude for 1 reason…spreadability. just as the late great Mitch Heberg said “people reffer to it as a cheese grater, nobody calls it by it’s negetive name, sponge ruiner.” Crunchy PB can be a bread ruiner.
Keep up the great work as always. Go Broncos.
