DENVER — Meet Knucklehead, the new official mascot of DNVR.

The DNVR family first met Knucklehead a few weeks ago when we heard a ruckus outside of  The DNVR Bar. Turns out, ol’ Knux had pinned a man who he had mistaken for Todd Bertuzzi against the brick wall outside of the bar. After clearing up the confusion, we dusted him off and invited him inside for an ice-cold Breck Brew, where we learned, amongst many other things, that he has been a diehard Denver sports fan his whole life.

Knucklehead is quite the talker.

He lives on Rockie Dogs and green chili. He believes the two best QBs in NFL history are both John Elway. He claims to be the inspiration behind Dikembe Mutombo’s finger wag, says he’s best friends with Nolan Arenado’s platinum gloves and apparently, he built up an immunity to tear gas following the 2001 Avalanche Stanley Cup parade.

At the end of the night, despite repeated attempts from the bar staff, Knux refused to go home, claiming, “This is the only home for me.” So, since we’re kind of stuck with him now, we figured we’d put him to use.

Meet Knucklehead, the new official mascot of DNVR.
