Hey gents, first off love the podcast and everything you guys do. I’ve been listening for about a year and look forward to many more years to come. Now I’m not a frequent commenter but I’ve been hearing some folks bashing the mock draft put out by Cynthia Frelund (the one where Burrow goes 5) and I wanted to clear up the confusion because I thought the concept was really interesting. She mocked based on computer analytics deciding which prospect would maximize the win count of strictly this upcoming season. Obviously this is not how teams are going to draft but it was an intriguing way to view the immediate needs of each team.
Also a brief story I wanted to share with y’all. I was sitting in an Econ class the other day at Chico State when the professor said “75%” and I unconsciously raised my arm to smack the table. Fortunately I caught myself before I made a scene but it made me smile seeing the impact listening to you guys has on me. Anyways nothing but love fellas keep up the great work!

As a Texas native with family in Colorado I also feel like I have not been able to explore the state as much but I did go to the Sand Dunes a ton as a kid! My cousins and I would spend hours upon hours there but I have never gone skiing or snowboarding, mostly camping. All this talk about traveling Colorado makes me wanna take a week and just ping pong across the state. Now to Broncos, do you think there are any other position groups that are of need but may not have free agents available right now that could pop up like with Trent Williams and Jason Peters?

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes said on a preview of HBO’s The Shop that he couldn’t truly read defenses until “halfway through last year.”
How long do you think our guy Drew will take?
What can he do to accelerate the process?
Do you think spending time with Peyton Manning could speed things up?
Take care and keep up the good work.

Hey guys!
I wonder how many people in the fam are musicians. I’m a French Horn player, and got my BA in music.
RK, is the guitaleilei tuned in fourths or fifths? To explain a capo, it’s a clip that attaches to the neck of guitars to change the key without retuning the guitar. This allows a player to play in a key without having to change the chords/hand positions to do so. I learned this the hard way in college. I had a assignment to translate sheet music from guitar to a choral arrangement. The piece was written in C major, but it’s chord structure was in E minor. I couldn’t figure it out until the day it was due. My buddy pointed out that I completely missed the CAPO3 mark at the top of the piece.
No football today, but since it’s Monday, we can all use some schadenfreude. The sports world provide 2 great examples last week. Tebow tried to field a pop fly for the final out of a game last Monday. He tripped on the grass, faceplanted, picked the ball up, and fired a missile at 2nd that pulled the fielder away from base, missing the tag. Search Tim Tebow missed pop-up.
On Wednesday, Nathan MacKinnon juked so hard, breaking Ryan Getslaf’s ankles. He got spralled out, as if he took a haymaker from Kimbo Slice’s ghost to the face. Search Nathan MacKinnon Ryan getzlaf. The video does not get old

Ok but for real – you guys need to record, even if just for a once off listen, the DNVR intro song. Love the original but come on no way you guys can’t cover the guitar and vocals on that!!!
The idea of Trent Williams is really appealing. But then I have this feeling – man what if he becomes longer term injured? Can you imagine if we had $30m in cap space on Williams and James and they didn’t take a snap?? I know that’s always a risk – but two injury prone, highly paid tackles? Yikes.
So is the Trent Williams play falling into the future “where we thought we’d get better but didn’t” discussion in 12 months time?
Love Peters as the vet on a short term deal with a young buck coming up behind him.

And sorry if I am late to this – but is RK dating Ally?

With all due respect to y’all, being from TX I have to say hearing you say Rudy’s brisket is a must go is sad to hear. I don’t know what was worse, hearing this or hearing RK refer to queso as ‘queso sauce’. Don’t turn our beloved queso into a mere sauce, that would be like me saying that it’s just green chili sauce. Gotta defend our beloved queso

Hey guys,
I’m getting anxious for the league year to actually start so we can start getting definitive answers to our speculations. One receiver I haven’t been hearing about in the draft talks, but was impressed with at the combine was Chase Claypool. He seems quick for his size and could be a physical receiver, maybe a special team contributer to start. Is it crazy of me wanting to use a day 3 flier on him if he’s still around?
Thanks!

Hey Gents, glad to hear Zac’s voice again!
Time for my Kitchen Mishap!
I was in the kitchen with a pot filled with at least 3-4 inches of cooking oil getting ready to make French fries. My mom taught me to lightly wet my fingers and flick the water into the oil as one of several ways to test if the oil is hot enough to fry. So I do this with the few droplets of water causing the oil to bubble slightly and safely. THEN my younger brother watching from a distance was intrigued by this and quickly deduced that greater quantities of water would create a more significant reaction. So unbeknownst to me began filling up a cup of water. I noticed what he was doing all to late just as he comes up from behind me and dumps the cup of water into the pot causing a hot oil and fire explosion all over the stove top. We were VERY fortunate to walk away with only a few minor first degree burns on our arms that healed in a couple of days and no appliances were damaged. He learned an important lesson that day.
I also wanted to chime in on the email topic.. I side with RK in that I CANT STAND the little red bubbles on my phone screen, the second they pop up I immediately address the notification and get rid of it. I’ve strategically disabled ALL notifications for apps that are not worth my immediate attention. As for emails I have a few accounts each for specific purposes. For example I have one that has only been given to close friends and family. One for important or urgent use like job applications or banking emails etc. and one designated for all the subscriptions and establishments that blow up your email with useless and annoying advertising and promotional crap. I have thousands in this particular account but notifications are off and I never check it. The rest are clean and organized. Just a tip.
Already too long so no question. But I love my Broncos and I love you guys!
I have spoken, MileHighMike.

Hey guys dont know about y’all but Denver making moves this early is giving me some real hope for next season. As they say the early bird gets the worm.

So glad to „hear“ you back, Zac! Am I the only one to notice that Mase‘s and RK‘s mood was so much better than on the pods before?
Anyways, in your opinion, what makes Dalton Risner so good? Does he deserve to wear a C?
Thanks DDD

Is it realistic that Will is back? I’ve heard just about no talk or buzz about it at all. He’s been such a pro for us, wore a ton of hats, and made some awesome plays. I understand it’s hard to keep him and Justin when both of their contracts are up the same year, but I’d really miss Will. One of my favorites since he was drafted.

Hello everyone, first time subscriber but long time listener. you guys make my long drives across state for drill a lot better. I was wondering if we could do a pod where you guys put yourselves in elways shoes and do a full on who you would cut and sign in free agency. i know you guys talk about a few specific players, but what about for the team and how you would structure their deals and such. I think it would be fun and interesting to see everyone thoughts. such as long what veteran qbs would be brought in to back up lock, or who could you bring in at rb to compliment Phil. thanks and i love listening to you guys everyday.

Hey guys I’m not sure if it’s too late to comment but here it goes. New listener and brand new subscriber from Windsor, Canada. Just wanted to say thanks for everything you guys do! I am a janitor at the Ambassador Bridge and our radio stations only talk about Detroit sports (?). Ryan’s hot takes, Zac’s little laugh in the background, and Mason’s knowledge bombs are all things that keep me smiling and informed while I mop away. One quick question is what’s your favourite kind of maple flavoured or topped foods?

Fellas! A quick PSA. Can we PLEASE do something to stop the ignorant “Doomsday Corona Virus” narrative in the general media? An NBA analyst (not DNVR) compared Corona Virus to Ebola! This has officially gone too far. Corona Virus has a 3.4% mortality rate and has killed just over 3,800 people worldwide. Ebola has a 90% mortality rate. Corona Virus is like a middle school JV team compared to the 1992 Dream Team of Ebola. Heck, the run of the mill seasonal influenza kills an average of 650,000 people EVERY YEAR, but nobody cares about that. Can we all just wash our hands and stop licking hand rails? P.s. vaccinate your spawn. Yesterday at the hospital I watched a 3 year old succumb to the measles because the parents actually thought vaccines cause autism. Don’t buy into false media! Sorry, rant over…
On to football!
1. Did we start Lock too early? Were his starts against the Chargers and the Texans more important than a possible #5 overall pick in the draft? Growing a winning culture is important, but how much better would our team be with a #5 overall pick vs 2 more wins in a loosing season?
2. With the gossip between super-bowlen and Wolfe about selling the team… How likely is it that a new owner will want to move the team? I just watched the ‘95 Browns documentary and immediately thought of the Broncos. The whole city wanted the Browns to stay, but the owner didn’t care and moved the team anyway. Is this a possibility in Denver? If so, is there anything fans can do to keep the Broncos in Denver?
3. This one’s… FOR PAT
4. What would you rather have with a new QB like Drew Lock? The typical great offensive line of the Cowboys, or the typical great defense of the Broncos?
Keep up the good work fellas. And remember to wash your hands like you just ate a pile of the hottest wings you’ve ever had, and now you need to take out your contacts. Or after eating the wings it’s time for “special” time with your girlfriend. Stay safe. And trim your nails too?

When’s the last time we drafted a stellar tackle? Clady? I’m all game for a proven commodity in FA. Eat the cost and don’t draft tackles until late and try to develop them.
In that light, What’s something you spend too much money on but you don’t care because you like to have it your way?

My favorite Broncos Country people! How was the weekend?
My funny kitchen story real quick.
My mom used to make me nachos all the time, they are the best. One day, she wasn’t home so I called her to see how to make. She was working so she said quickly; chips, ground beef, cheese, jalapeno, salsa. I constructed these items in order from bottom to top. Popped in microwave and started eating. I noticed quickly that the beef was rather, um, bloody? In my 12 year old innocent self, I didn’t realize she browned and seasoned the meat before. I still make them to this day but I always brown the beef first. Lesson sadly learned.
Enjoy all that you guys do. I can’t wait to see how free agency and the draft play out because this is truly an exciting time for Broncos fans.
Joe Burrow=BUST! Calling it now.

Fellas,
Hope the beautiful weekend was good to you all. My quick kitchen story. 9 years old and I loved science so my dad and I started fiddling with the toaster. We used a battery pack and a converter to make the toaster portable. We didn’t stop there! We changed the springs and rigged a co2 canister, like used in bb gun, and an acuator. It was cool to see the bagels and toast shoot about a foot in the air. Well my brother and I had the great idea to up the canister to a paintball co2 tank. We plop the bagel in and set it waiting to see a 2 foot jump. It starts to burn and we panic, the release button won’t push do to the increased pressure from the new tank, the regulator could’t handle the additional pressure and failed, my mom runs out smelling smoke and sees us two kids fiddling with what looked like something from mad max; she yanks us away asks what the hell we are doing…. the toaster was finished and shot the flaming, charred, projectile; like a potato cannon, directly into the celing making a crater and sending firey ash raining down as the excess pressure obliterated the bagel. When my mom saw the distruction and gave us the, fear for your life look, we both in unison said dad helped us… he was on the couch for a week and needless to say I learned how to dry wall that weekend.
Cheers and don’t try this at home! Go to a friends house

Hey guys,
My question I was listing to Mckenzie Unchained DNVR and he had a hot take which I disagree with, wanted your opinion. He stated that Fangio basically is a washed up old school coach and will not be successful as the Broncos head coach. He also stated the Pat hire is going to fail because he is uncreative. He stated both coaches will be fired this year and the best option at head coach would be hire Eric the Enemy (not sure on the spelling). To bring that KC offense to Denver. Would you guys agree are we are in for another coaching change again?
Thank you and have a wonderful Monday!

Asinine lemme find that pod so i make sure i never listen to that ! Makes 0 sense and doesn’t speak to eithers track record thats insane lol

Hey guys so my question today im going to try to be short and sweet ….. But idk ….. I don’t like the idea of trading up in such a deep wr class i like ruggs love Jeudy but man the reports of us trading up im not trying to do that …….
However i keep looking at it and being realistic …. Unlesse Aj ESPENSA draft stuck jumps back up or someones in love with Kirstian Fultun or Cj Henderson ……. Its looking like Andrew Thomas is the pick for us ….
How you guys feel , would you rather trade down with miami for one of their second (im sure all the wholes on their roster they like to trade up to 15 instead of 18 ) …… Id love to take andrew thomas at 18 or mims at 18 more so then 15
Or would u stay put and take thomas at 15 …. If all the people we love are gone ???
Pff has Andrew Thomas as their #1 tackle.in this class despite the combine shooting up the value of wirfs, beckhton, and Jedrick Wills ……. How bout u Mase ?
Yo just saw the news about the DNVR bar and I’m blown away and so proud of all you guys from top to bottom, I hope someday you guys can take a step back and truly appreciate what you’ve created, but I understand if you guys keep going cause this is incredible!
Everyone have a great week and I can’t wait for Friday now…
Oh p.s. the 813 in my username actually refers to two of the number I wore in competitive ice hockey 81 and 13, I just combine them… glad it’s a dope area code though but I am 303 born and bred. 🙂

there’s a 30+ year old expensive left tackle with injury concerns that i’m interested in trading for but it’s not trent williams. it’s cordy glenn.
i get that there’s multiple other factors involved but it’s worth noting that the bengals offense scored 10ppg more with cordy playing than when he wasn’t for the first couple months of the season, so he’s still capable of being a difference-maker out there. plus he’s a couple years younger than trent.
cincy are also likely to cut him so you can probably acquire him for day 3 pick to secure his rights- or just wait it out and sign him when he hits the market. any thoughts?
dan birk
just saw that trent williams wants 20m a year? i’m good luv, enjoy

Random thought.
It seems like there was a switch that flipped in the early 2000s at the linebacker position. When did they go from being the most feared men on the field to more of a position of finesse? Also, do you remember how bad ass it was to have Bill Romanoski, and John Mobley on the same field? Just two dudes that weren’t to be messed with.
Good to have you back Zac!

Hey guys!
1. Happy Birthday Ryan! Hope you don’t feel too old yet
2. I just wanna take a minute to show some love for Zac, who’s really been upping his transition-to-ad-read game. My personal favorite so far is, “you know what can move a lot of Breck Brews? A snowplow!”
3. Mr. B
4. Do you guys think it’s a possibility for us to consolidate some of our day 2 picks to trade for a 2021 first rounder? To me, it makes sense because John could either just keep the pick to draft someone if the season isn’t going well next year, or he could use it in a deadline trade to get a guy that might be able to push the team over the edge for the playoffs next year.
The cons of this, I think, are that it’d be fairly unconventional and teams generally don’t like trading away future firsts, especially for draft capital.
Thanks, sorry for the long one,
Cole

Hello again, Gentlemen,
I’ve heard a couple of different people over the airways discuss the Broncos as a potential landing spot for Derrick Henry. Are we actually pursuing him? Or at least going to actively try if he becomes available? What would you guys think of this fit if it were to happen. I worry it might end up being like the Demarco Murray and the Eagles situation…
Also RK, my wife is a huge cheerleading fan so she made me watch the UCA championships over the weekend (national championships for cheerleading). I make her watch all the Broncos games so I figured I would return the favor. Anyway, I saw that Chip won in the mascot category(!) I know absolutely nothing about what the competition entailed or who he competed against, only that he won but I figured I would congratulate you on the success of your Alma Mater.
Once again, have a great week and thank you for everything you do!

Sorry to double dip but posted is the link to an article for the shooting that we heard coverage of first hand while you guys were at RK’s for the pod… RK move now!

I hope this makes the cut in time, but I needed to share my favorite kitchen nightmare:
A couple years out of high school, some friends and I were having a house party. After a massive thunderstorm, and more than a few drinks, we got pretty hungry. The power was out, but thank god for gas stoves! We settled on mac & cheese on the stovetop. We were resourceful in using a large bottle of water to make our snack. Now comes meal time. The food was incredibly bitter, and upon further inspection, it was determined that vibrated is not a good substitution for water. Drink responsibly my friends!
Hahahaha vinegar not vibrated

Guys I think trading a second and bolles for Trent Williams would be fair for both sides. While I would definitely prefer a third, by trading for Williams the OT hole is filled and you don’t have to roll the dice about a guy falling and then we can pick a developmental guy of Munchaks choosing later. Doing this we can go all in to get Ruggs, Jeudy, or my boy Ceedee Lamb. In an age where it’s harder and harder to find quality O-line, you have to take your shots when they present themselves. Also I asked this when Mase was sadly out but here it is: Mase, did you have to go clean up after getting to talk to Tyler Biadasz at the combine? I can only imagine that you were very giddy!
