Hi,
I’ve tried my hand at doing some stand up comedy a few times. It was scary, but fun to see and glad I tried it. Would any of you ever do open mics/stand-up?

Hi Guys, the best chicken and waffles can be found at the Hair of the Dog Eatery in Virginia Beach. They serve them for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! Also, when will the schedule be out for the upcoming season? I would like to go to Charlotte or Pittsburgh! Go Broncos!

Hey guys! I appreciate all the hard work you guys put into provided us with the best content for the Broncos! You have helped me become a more educated fan and part of an amazing community!

I have a quick question for you guys. In past podcasts something that I’ve heard Ryan say for an organization to be successful is that the Owner, GM, Head Coach and the QB all have to be on the same page. Obviously, the owner one is really out the window, but do you guys believe that John Elway is on the same page as Vic and Drew? Because as I see it, John Elway and Vic aren’t on the same page when it comes to the offense. You guys have said that Pat Shurmur and Vic are going to tell John one thing and practice that way, but when it comes to game time, they will change it. I want to hear to Dove Valley 2 step on this one!

Thanks for everything you guys do!

2 things:

1. I was working out today and somehow I accidentally hit the speed up button on my podcasts and it came at a point in the pod where there was a fairly long pause and my first thought was “holy crap they just did a bump of coke on the pod” then I realized it was just my sweaty sweatshirt that caused it?

2. I feel like buying a rookie’s jersey is like playing Russian roulette. I think you should at least wait till half way thru the second year to get it. That is unless you bought it from a Chinese website then I don’t feel bad lol

I’m so confused now RK, you’ve argued that egg is breakfast and breakfast only and now all of a sudden you say that hard boiled eggs is more of a lunch. Hard boiled eggs IS THE egg breakfast. I no longer knows what’s up and what’s down.

To the gentlemen who wanted advice on the situation with his high-school sweetheart.
DO NOT leave your sons. My mother moved to France with her new husband when my youngest sister was around 11, brother 16 and I 17. I’m was in my high teens and that still hurt, both personally and how she could leave my little sister, thinking visits once a month is enough for a relationship. That was the first nail in the coffin of the relationship with my mother. Other things happened to and today our relationship is close dead. She is allowed to visit maybe once a or twice a quarter to visit my sons, other then that I don’t want to see her. I suspect your kids are much younger and they won’t comprehend how and why their father left them, how they they could be of so little value to him. Might sound harsh but this subject is close to my heart and nothing, and I mean nothing comes before your kids.

1) what did y’all think of the falcons announcing they weren’t going to pursue negotiations with vic beasley, via twitter? i’m sure their fans appreciated the transparency and it was obvious he wasn’t in their future plans…….but i thought it was kinda tasteless ngl. i’d feel the same way if the broncos did it to one of their free agents

2) mase, you mentioned that espn carousel thing where they have different scenarios etc. one of them was for the jags to trade nick foles to the colts for a salary dump, and the colts would get their first rounder (20th overall) back in return. would y’all do this if you were the broncos, and would it be feasible in the first place? it would solve the veteran backup problem, with a qb that worked with shurmur and a nice high draft pick

3) mr b

4) mase, let’s talk about our boo antonio gibson. he’s really something, isn’t he?

Hey everyone! I started listening towards the end of this past season and now y’all are a daily part of my week. I finally decided to pony up and subscribe! Looking forward to being part of this community.

I wanted to speak to something I feel I can offer some insight to. You guys talk about Patrick Morris and how he has an in with Munchak and seems to be moving forward as the center. I actually went to high school with Patrick Morris and had him in a couple of classes. He was the #2 center in the state of Texas starting at varsity level his sophomore year. He also helped our school win its first ever state championship! He didn’t always have street smarts but he was really intelligent and always gave 110% towards football. It was a surprise around here when he didn’t get drafted out of TCU. It’s cool knowing that one of my old classmates could potentially start for my favorite team. Here’s hoping Munchak sees what a lot of us saw back in high school.

Hey friends. EOD Brand, hang in there! A hard boiled Duck egg make a nice lunch with a bottle of Siracha sauce. River Cracraft was of course my final 63 cut. I was bored yesterday, so I went to DB.com to see how many coaches the Broncs now employ. They have 24; 9 offense; 9 defense, 4 strength & conditioning & 2 special teams. 3 current/former Head coaches, 2 current/former OC’s and 2 current/former DC’s, not including the Head coaches/coordinators. This has to be the best coaching staff in the NFL put together by Elway and Vic. The shock for me was the Broncos employ 300 full time staff, with over 1/2 of them in extremely well paid positions. 16 Executives; 7 VPs, 42 Directors; 33 Managers and many other Supervisors & Senior level personnel and of course 63 players. This does not include all the game day employees 12-16 weeks a year. Now I finally understand why the Broncs are always cash strapped! 🙁 GO BRONCOS/DREW

Fine Gentleman,

Yesterday you discussed Broncos broadcasters, which leads me to ask: what NFL position grouping has the best media members currently? I think a dark horse could be defensive backs, namely Ryan Clark, Rodney Harrison, Dominique Foxworth, Dion Sanders, and Steve Atwater (of course!).

Also! I know what I’m getting RK for Valentines Day… Subway Sandwich Cologne!

Probably not realistic for them to move from 15 to 1. A move like that would have to include some major capital. Wouldn’t be shocked if they tried to move into Top 10.

Hey guys,

First off let me start off by saying this pod is addicting. I am from Va and now reside in SC. I have been a Broncos fan ever since receiving a John Elway Jersey for Christmas in 1997. I was five years old at the time and have been a ride or die Broncos fan since. I have listened to every pod you guys have done in the last several months and I decided to subscribe for the year. I’ve always Loved Mase’s analytical approach and enthusiasm about sports. Ryan I love your takes and how you stick you your guns, and Zack (my name is also Zack) your laugh cracks me up on a daily bases. You guys have created a vibe that I couldn’t have designed better in a lab. Keep up the good work and keep feeding us Bronco fuel. I will be at both the Atlanta, and Carolina games next season would be awesome to chat with you guys, I will be contributing to the comments moving forward, all the best,

Maybe we are looking at this wrong… yes you have to give up a good amount to move from 15 to 1. But with everything going on with ownership with the team, if you arent certain on the teams future is it that crazy of a idea to give up future picks if you arent going to neccesarily be the part of running the team in those years anyways? So Elway could just being putting all his eggs in one last draft class and moving up to one he can get his guy.

“You find out life’s this game of inches, so is football. Because in either game – life or football – the margin for error is so small. I mean, one half a step too late or too early and you don’t quite make it. One half second too slow, too fast, and you don’t quite catch it. The inches we need are everywhere around us. They’re in every break of the game, every minute, every second.”

What’s up fam! I have the worst luck at getting my comments in on time, so I’m writing this right before you guys go into the comments.

Why don’t the broncos give the reigns to lock, he either goes down in flames and we grab TLAW? Or we have the QB of our future?

RK- chicken and waffles? I agree on the PBJ as I’d have an uncrustables for breakfast. But Chicken and waffles are served in restaurants as breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and even as appetizers?

Mase- I know your high on jeudy, and good at comps. What do you think of this comp? If jeudy hits, his floor is Stefon diggs, his ceiling is AB(minus the crazy)

Hey guys
Si here is my take on my ideal superbowl half time show. Bring not Queen but a tribute to Queen as in the 1991 Freddy Mercury Homage. ( maybe Mase knows what I am talking about). Imagine the final part of that show with Elton John, Axl Rose , Bryan May, Slash and Roger Taylor performing Bohemian Rapsody Sublime!!!

All right. Last try on the all around food. Lox and cream cheese bagel?

When are they going to cut Flacco ? I’m starting to get anxious

Much love

So the more I’m looking at the draft, the more i keep seeing a wonderful dream of trading back if no one is sexy at 15, getting some extra capital in the process. Then getting laviska at around pick 21 and getting Tyler Biadiasz in round 2, and in round 3 pick up KJ Hill and Jalen Hurts. This draft will allow hurts to be your backup and you can use him in similar situations as Tasum Hill in New Orleans.

This draft also allows you to get your speed guy in round 3 and your mismatch nightmare in round 1. Could you imagine an offense with Sutton, Fant, Lindsay, Hill, and Laviska?

Hey guys, with the new League year starting in just 8 weeks what possible or dream trades do you see the broncos executing. We can all agree that we won’t use all 12 picks maybe a few of those picks are for A win now move for Elway.

Dunbar requesting a trade sparked this thought, your thoughts..

Keep up the great work! Love this community!

Here in Aiken South Carolina pimento cheese is a staple…So here’s my food contribution: Get a good sour dough bread and make a grilled cheese with pimento and pepper jack cheese (if you like bacon this takes it over the top; cook the bacon first then crumble it over the cheese before cooking it as you would a normal grilled cheese sandwich).

Here’s my football question/s for now: What is the overall consensus on John Elway as GM in Denver?

I wonder, with the Bowlen family lawsuit, if John will be on thin ice if the playoffless seasons continue into the new ownership?

Seems like it could be an awkward train wreck. Do you think John being the king in Denver will always keep his job as GM safe?

Can you guys have a Facebook group already? This is the sort of thing currently published by people on Facebook;

“A GUN MEANS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AND IS NOTHING MORE DANGEROUS THEN A STICK THATS JUST LAYING ON THE GROUND UNTIL YOU PICK IT UP AND GIVE YOUR GUN SOME EXCEPTIONAL HOLLOW PIONT BULLETS LOADED IN IT TO ALLOW IT TO GO TO WAR FOR YOU AND IF NOT JUST BE READY TO HV TO SWING IT LIKE A BAT IN A BATTLE AND HOPE FOR THE BEST ? ;)!!!!! ??“

I assume this roughly translates to “Drew will improve in year 2 if the Broncos look to take advantage of a loaded WR class, potentially getting a top tier WR in the first, and a slot guy in the 3rd/4th”.

Sorry but I have more refined Broncos taste than this.

On an unrelated note, my wife conflated a Hot Dog with a Sandwich and I was quick to correct while referencing the community. Thank god for this exceptional content while I sleep the couch.

Rk solid nap take. Mase I wish I could take a 20 minute nap. Especially since I only get 4 to 5 hours of sleep a night. But if I did how could I collect all my stars from Starbucks?

I don’t want to go on a long tangent here so I will ask just this. Are any of you good with money management? I’m a recent grad and I’m looking at buying or renting my first place with my girlfriend while also managing student loans. So I’m looking for insight from people who have done more life. Haven’t done a whole lot more life than you (graduated in ’15) but I’ll tell you, just doing basic budgeting like a simple spreadsheet or using an app like Mint or Clarity can make a huge difference. My girlfriend realized $900/mo is probably too much to spend on clothes each month and we’re saving money so much faster. And do your best to stay out of credit card debt. Those interest rates are brutal man… trust me.

Hey guys. I’m sure the rumours about Joe Burrow being unhappy about playing for the Bengals are BS however a hypothetical for you. Joe Burrow pulls an Eli Manning on draft day and refuses to play for the Bengals. Behold, it’s Bill Belichick and his evil football hex coming in and trading for Burrow for a reasonable price. New England go on to dominate for another 15 years. Sorry to put that terrible idea in your heads but it’s just the kind of black magic Bill is well practiced in.

Great pod as always fellas. Glad to be rolling with you guys through the offseason.
I can’t see Elway Giving up all that capital to get to #1. Too many roster holes to fill plus I really think he likes Drew. And no way the Bengals are super high on Drew Lock and would want him in any trade package for #1. They are the team we traded with in the 2nd round to get Drew. If they loved him they could have had him round 2 last year.

And Lets keep it real – Scangarello wasn’t protecting Drew, he was protecting his job. He knew he was on the hot seat. Ironic that it ended up costing him his job if it’s true Elway and Vic wanted to cut Drew loose at the end of last year. Should’ve let him sling it Rich.

SO excited to see what this team looks like in 2020! With All of the high end draft capital and all of that cap space this is the Offseason that we make that jump back to contention. Two solid draft classes leading up to this has made it possible too. Let’s give the FO some credit for the position we are in at this current moment. Stop and think about it.
Can’t wait!!

Howdy! Haven’t commented in a bit but been loving the pod all off-season.

Just wanted to chime in with my thoughts on the XFL. Planned on catching a few drives and ended up watching most of all 4 games this weekend! Obviously the level of talent isn’t the NFL but it was surprisingly good football. I really love some of the changes.
– mic’d up for everyone! QBs, coaches, refs, replay review guy. I LOVE hearing it all!!
– fast & accurate replay review system & I also like the designated ball spotting ref. How many times have we seen a drive get hosed because a ref takes 10 seconds to spot the ball
– new 2-minute warning rules give me more action and suspense. No more Scangarello-runs-up-the-middle-with-1:30-left-in-the-half bologna!

Keep an eye on Houstons QB. He’s a Diet Lamar Jackson and I enjoyed watching him ball!

In terms of the great straw debate, I think of it like this. I have a mouth, which I will consider a hole. Following that “straw” downwards, it leads to another hole on the other end. But I don’t think anyone would consider those 2 areas as the same hole. The answer has got to be 2.

Hey guys how’s it going …… theres the obvious cuts that will be made in the offseason (even though Joe flacco is on the roster still for reasons i dont understand ) but outside of that would you cut todd davis and JeffHuerman ….jeff huerman is a no brainer cut we don’t need to be as tight end heavy in shurmur’s offense but as far as todd goes id cut todd to pay a corey littleton or Danny trevathan why not cut todd to improve that position ?
