You summed it up. Personally I think we need Z ! We are a soft team. And please Landy and especially 96 find your game. We need you

This will go down, I think, as the signature win of the season. We’ve struggled all year against teams that play like this and especially on the road. What really stood out to me was that they never stopped trying. For a team like the Avs that just likes to run and gun, playing a game like this can be so frustrating that you just eventually give up and then it’s over. They kept pushing the play for most of the game. Sure they kept banging their heads against the wall, but then Z cracked the wall, Kadri got things started, and then MacK came in doing MacK things to close it out. This was a big character win for this team, and hopefully propels them into the final two months and well beyond.

I’m gonna come off as a buzzkill here, but it’s a pet peeve of mine when people refer to anything other than an actual playoff game as being “like a playoff game” or having “a playoff atmosphere”. No way Jose. There is absolutely, unequivocally, nothing quite like the energy in and around an actual NHL playoff game. The only exception I can think of is game 82 against the Blues two years ago, which was a de facto playoff game, if not a de jure one.

Well now that you’ve said your peace, hopefully you enjoyed the rest of the piece 😉

You’re absolutely right that the top line hasn’t been as dominant as everyone knows they can be. It’s incredible they’re still getting the points, they way they’ve been playing. If/when they do start clicking, look out NHL, ’cause the Avs will be nearly impossible to stop, especially if Grub keeps playing like he has the last few games.
