So I listened to the podcast a few hours after they posted it. I was probably talking to my roommates about how some team used their d-tackle to do a fake fb dive and did a quick over the top pass at goal to their tight end fully uncovered. I think it was vita vea but not sure.
So I get home from the bar and hear RK joke that mike purcell might toss a td against the chiefs. I got back on the time and I’m not exaggerating but it’s probably the exact same time I was talking about it with my friends! So I’m calling it! either mike Purcell or Shelby Harris either throw, catch , or carry in a td!

My boys!
With the team trending in the right direction, barring a complete collapse down the stretch, we’ll probably be picking in the back half of the draft. With QB being a need and a later pick in the first round, I’m having flashbacks to Paxton Lynch. Are there any guys in the current crop of talent you see as likely being a Paxton-level disaster? Who do you think is most likely to be on the board when the Broncos pick (wherever you think that may be) and how do you feel about them?
Looking forward to coming through the bar again for the game Sunday! May even throw in some money on our boys! *cue a Draft Kings ad read.
God bless, and go DNVR, the bar, all you wonderful people, and the ever elusive but always in our hearts Iceman.
Orange Crushing It
Did you guys ever watch the “Friday Night Lights” series? There’s a scene a few seasons in where the team’s main booster gives up and leaves the team, he says something like “I loved the old Panthers, but this isn’t the team I love”.
That’s how I feel about this team right now. There was a turning point when Elway decided to impose his will and turn this team into a de-clawed animal. He brought in coach after coach to run a “safe” game focused on defense and running, low risk and low scoring. They’ve been absolute garbage ever since and it hasn’t changed one bit. The only difference now is that the players are so talented that they’re overcoming an awful approach to football with sheer athleticism. I grew up cheering for the Orange Crush defense and the win-at-all-costs Elway Super Bowls, I loved that team. I also loved the PFM era broncos even when they didn’t win it all, because they always had a chance and winning was expected. The standards are gone now, this organization hasn’t done anything to address the massive age-gap in their philosophy vs the rest of the league and they continue to play outdated, losing football with bad coaching. This isn’t the team I grew up loving.
Thanks for all you guys do to try and hold a positive outlook whenever they show a glimmer. But we know who this team is and it isn’t changing.

Well, as bad as this looks immediately after the pick six, it’s to be expected. I want us to make the playoffs but really I just want to beat the chiefs to close out the year. They are my most hated team in the division.
I was going to turn this comment into giant trash talk ofKC as a location (it sucks), it’s bbq is overrated, and Hill is horrible but I’ll save my vitriol.
Just further confirmation that we don’t have the horses needed offensively. Short of getting Wilson, I’d love to have Teddy to mentor a rookie next year. I think that could be his ideal role. He’s a consummate professional who I think tries his best, just not IT.
