Jack Johnson, Darren Helm, and Ryan Murray aren’t exactly young whippersnappers without leadership abilities, though. Calvert was out most of last season. All the core players gained a year in maturity and the team got younger by about 2 months on average. I’m not about to hang this on Ranta, Bo, or Logan. That’s a narrative that just don’t hunt. It’s MacK, Landy, and Co. shrinking when the script got flipped to bad for a few minutes. It compounded from there and it was one of the young guys (Bo) stepping up with the team’s current leading scorer (JTC) getting the team back in it.

AJ, your game story is spot on. This team still needs that next level of emotional maturity to win the cup. I couldn’t watch the 3rd period from the 3-2 to 4-3 time frame. It was too frustrating along with the OT. Hope they figure it out.
