Mile High Till I Die
So the Jets beat the Bengals, the Bengals beat the Ravens, the Ravens beat us and we shut out the Jets? Not really sure what to make of that but there have been enough games this season that made no sense that make me feel like the Broncos just might be able to win some games they’re not supposed to. I’d like to see this coaching staff fired immediately but I don’t think that means we need to lay down and die for better draft picks. My hope for the rest of the season is that we wholesale commit to the run, we play our younger guys to build confidence and experience and we win a couple games that no one thinks we should have. I think we could do that and still have justification for moving on from this coaching staff anytime between now and the end of the season.

VJ and Vic can both go suck on a muffler for wasting so much of Von’s carrier. And if Elway was any other GM and not the legend he is, I’d say he could join them. Does Draft Kings have an over/under on how many times Von will drop into pass coverage the rest of the year?
Looks like the DNVR Bar will be the ONLY bright spot of the season this year. On a happier note, wanted to thank you all for your hospitality! Was great meeting everyone, watching the pod, and hanging out and talking. Y’all are kind beyond words! I very much can’t wait to come back. Even if it means I gotta watch a Broncos game.
If I can make a burger recommendation, get the Joker burger at the bar but substitute the bleu cheese for the chili cream cheese. You won’t be sorry.
Go DNVR, the bar, you guys for always helping us see the silver lining, all us fans sad to see Von leave, Von (hope he gets another ring), and iceman.

As hard as it is to admit this was the right move and we got great value for him. Do you guys think part of the reason he was traded was because of Harris and Dremonts performance in yesterday’s game as well as Jonathan Cooper’s emergence

Hi guys,
Finally a sign from George Paton that the defence first era is ending!
Stage 1, offload players for picks. (Teddy, Melvin, Fant)
Stage 2, employ younger, offensive minded coaches
Stage 3, get a new owner
Stage 4, get a superstar QB.
First time in months I can think there is a future.
Hurry up 2022

I hate that this was the right move for the team and for Von. He has been a Bronco for almost half of my life, and when he was drafted it was right around the time I went from being a kid just casually watching the team to a diehard fan. He’s been Mr. Bronco for the last decade and it sucks to see him go. After the trade a friend of mine asked me who the face of the team is now and I had to say we don’t have one, which is the sad truth we’re facing right now. Hopefully we get that guy in next year’s draft. At least I have DNVR to get me through the rest of the season.

Howdy Gents,
I’m happy to see Von have the opportunity to chase another ring or two and be well utilized. I was fortunate enough to go to school with Von at A&M and drink with him regularly at the Northgate bars. As a lifelong Broncos fan it was so exciting when he came to Denver.
I’m a bit peeved at the organization on this one. Not for the trade as it was likely the best for all parties moving forward, but for the lack of public acknowledgment. How does someone that meant so much for so long not warrant a presser from Paton, Fangio, hell even Elway. Seems a disservice to a Broncos legend. Anyone remember the days Elway stepped in and preached the Broncos moving forward would be about transparency and not operate in the shadows? Not his gig anymore but seems to be a whiff and a bit short sighted to what Von has meant.
Your thoughts?
Thanks for the pod as always.

Hear me out,
Von and Paton game planned to send Von to Rams for the two picks to help the team land Rodgers or Wilson after the season ends and then Von as a free agent resigns with Denver. He did say Bronco for life.

Been a while friends hope all is well! It is with a heavy heart that I write this. Von gave me my first SB that I could truly appreciate because it was in my later years. That said this was the right thing to do. I don’t trust this team to beat most of the teams remaining and therefore I feel it’s best if we trade anyone that isn’t in future plans and let George work these next 6 years with a SB in mind, or two lol. There has to be some future value in that, or all will be lost. Need a f****** QB! Thoughts? Be well homies, I for one will be crying myself to sleep for the next year or so 🙂

I am going to go on major teddy rant. I know you guys advocated for Teddy but this team is not good enough to win with below average quarterback play. He consistently throws the ball way to short of the first down, and if the receiver is not completely opening he is not throwing the ball. You have 2 guys who are 6’4 and have an amazing catch radius, give them a chance to make a play. Another thing I don’t think this offense line is as bad as everyone says it is, I think teddy holds on to the ball to long causing the offensive line to give up more sacks. He has more sacks so far than drew lock had all season. He has the 6th best time to throw out of all qbs. Lock gives you a better chance of scoring points. Just deal with the turnovers and worse case scenario Lock is as bad as the coaching staff thinks and we get a better draft pick. What do you guys think?
Russway Johnson
John Elway and Von Miller. 1 and 2. This trade will show how Vic has been criminally misusing Von. He’ll have 10 sacks with the Rams.

I know it’s been a few years since I’ve said this, but it still holds true now. I don’t want mercenaries to help us win, I want players who want to be here. I want Broncos guys. You can tell where this is going I’m sure..
I know I’m not your typical fan, as I don’t care that much about winning, I want to be entertained in close, good quality, football matches, ideally in the playoffs, but even above all that, I just want to build a team and culture, as a Broncos Unit, a family of sorts, and this move goes so strongly against that.
I hate that the league is very much a business, and this move stinks of that. It’s so cold. And to prove my opinions above, it dawned on me late last night, that I would rather lose every game with Miller, than win every game without him. That’s the cold hard truth.
As I said…..I’m not your typical fan, and you may ridicule my opinion as you see fit……everyone else does ?♀️
Nevertheless, I am on a proper downer today, clinging onto the glimmer of hope we take those picks, and re-sign Von after his contract expires this year. Pllllleeeeease!? ???
Peace out all, from a very miserable Big Tebowski
The Big T
And just to add real quick, we should NOT be in a rebuild with this roster. We are Aaron Rodgers away from being Super Bowl Favourites!!
dan birk
hey guys!
so i know a lot of the success will be determined by what they do with the picks, but how do y’all rank the moves that paton has made to acquire draft capital?
1) trading von for a 2022 2nd and 3rd
2) trading trinity benson for the equivalent of a 2022 5th
3) trading down from pick 76 to pick 98 (quinn meinerz) and picking up pick 105 (baron browning)
unless teddy gets traded for a first before the deadline, i still think the benson move is the best one.
he’s spent a lot of the time as a healthy scratch in detroit and has been completely ineffective when he has played. plus that 5th is projected to be the first pick of the round.
what do y’all think?

Fellas,
Its been a while as life has taken its toll. I hope everyone is healthy and well.
1.) Rk do you buy your buffs tickets or season tickets? Drop a line in the pod if you don’t have season tickets where to reach you as I get them from work, I can gey pretty much any section including possibly suite etc. I have 4 seats in section 104 for Saturday of you want them.
2.) Von miller will win SB MVP with the rams I am calling it now.
3.) Mr. B
4.) What realistic odds do you put on the playoffs? Chiefs look like a joke and chargers gonna charger so is 9-8 plausible for the last wildcard spot?
Cheers hope to see you at the tailgate for the probably only upcoming win with detriot
Mile High Buckeye
My boys!
Oh boy, where to begin…
That “win” on Sunday was brutal. One of the worst games offensively I’ve ever seen. That last offensive possession was borderline-poverty status and it just screams bad coaching. How are we 4-4 right now? And now Von Miller is gone too…
I’m actually not as excited about traveling to Dallas this weekend for the game as I was before – I’m going to be missing a great sports weekend in Columbus (CBJ and Crew games) to go watch this game – hopefully the boys pull off a miracle in Dallas and it will all be worth it. Maybe I can meet up with Mase?
Keep on rocking fellas – long live DNVR.
Cheers,
– Alex

Yo fellas – rough day for Broncos Country. Obviously the trade was the right move but it doesn’t help deal with the emotions when you are talking about a legend like Von. As Elway said, he came here when we needed him the most and was the piece that got us headed in the right direction, and ultimately was THE biggest reason why this franchise has a 3rd Lombardi. Watching him say goodbye yesterday just showed why this fan base fell in love with him. Thank you Von. We will miss you. I’m glad he isn’t wearing 58 in LA because him in that number is for us only. I’ll be following you out here in SoCal and cheering you on.
Now My take aways from the WFT game:
1. Albert O is undoubtedly better than Noah Fant
2. Kenny Young is a baller.
3. Mr. B
4. Justin Simmons is back
5. Fumble aside, Melvin Gordon is our best offensive player right now.
6. This team will never be anything more than average with the philosophy and coaching staff that we currently have. We make everything look 10x more difficult than what they should be, especially on offense. First downs feel like touchdowns when I watch and that is pathetic.
HipHipOuray
Hey guys,
Wow. Don’t really know what to say. Listening to the post game show in real time on Sunday and I could help but wish that hank had his tin foil hat on when he said there is a reason that we didn’t play von on Sunday. Well I think the answer is clear as day now. Bummer.
On a lighter note. Can we just call this the year of mase already…??? Almost all his teams have one a championship this year with the only blemish being man city knocked out of the champions league trophy by my beloved Chelsea.
Anyways. Thank you for all that dnvr does. Have a fantastic Tuesday everyone!

Mase’s tracksuit game is so on point, why does it get zero run on these pods? RK I’m looking at you. Let’s go.
