Thanks AJ, great stuff, missed you on the post game. Don’t know how the NHL thinks they are dissuading hits to the head or even making fair decisions when Blichfield is suspended 2 games and MacK will miss at least 2 games recovering. Sure Blichfield loses his pay for those games but for most players that’s just an inconvenience. But it seems the suspensions to the perpetrator are usually less than (or at least equal to) the games missed by the victim … and that sucks.

How bout those stone hands. You DNVR boys might need a new nickname for nuke. Glad they won even if it was a bit sloppy.

I agree that the NHL needs to get serious about hits to the head. I say a minimum 5 game suspension for any hit to the head regardless and additional games suspended if the injured player misses more than 5 games. Maybe match games suspended for games missed due to the head injury, up to 10-15 games suspended. This might seem harsh, but we are talking about the health of the players and brain injuries are life changing. That should get the players attention.

Have any of the players used Hyperbaric oxygen to treat concussions? I know they use it to treat Vets who have suffered mild to moderate traumatic brain injuries in combat with good results.

Additionally, how about a new rule for the overtime format. Once the attacking team gains the offensive zone they can not intentionally carry the puck out of the neutral zone to regroup and attack again. If it is intentional, give the puck to the other team to break out of their d zone. If it is iffy, have a face off at the blue line.
