l loved Byram’s poise with the puck again. I think his development will continue to be exciting to watch. Especially if they can get healthy enough to shelter him a bit. But, it was a bit discouraging to miss Bowers again. Guess Shane Bednar is MIA.

I was also hoping that Kaut and Bowers would get a chance to play. I think Dries and Megna each played about 7 minutes. Are they really bringing that much to team that the rookies couldn’t? The rookies can’t earn Bednar’s trust if he never gives them a chance.

Very few dangerous, high-percentage shots by the Avalanche. The defense skated up to their ability. They just are not very dynamic without Girard and Makar.

Looked like MacKinnon was using a new stick. He switched from a Ribcor to a Tacks, which means he goes from a low kick point stick to a high kick point stick. The release with a Ribcor is faster, with the shot being less accurate. The release from a Tacks is slower but the shot ultimately is more accurate and more powerful. I don’t know what to make of it, I’m probably looking too much into it:)
