OK Guys-I have come with answers. What happened yesterday? Pick the best excuse.
1-Nickelodeon informs the NFL Sunday morning that the slime machine for the Broncos endzone not working, so with all the slime ordered for the game the NFL script writers call an audible and call for the Rams to score on every drive.
2-After reports that Hackett may be kept around because players are still playing hard for him the last 2 weeks, the players decide to take actions into their own hands and show that they did quit on Hackett as a Christmas Present for Broncos fans 2023.
3-McVay went into his deep memory of his 5 seasons with Evero and is able to envision the entire Broncos gameplan from snippets of talks in the past with Evero. With this information in hand, McVay puts together the perfect game plan against the Broncos.
On a side note, lets see how smart you guys are. What does Steve Tensi and Russell Wilson have in common?
(They were both traded to the Broncos for 2 first round picks)

What do you guys think Wilson really thinks of this situation? Can he still really believe his own constant and increasingly ridiculous excuses?
What would happen if he suddenly accepted that he is washed and can’t do it anymore?

Ben Albright reported that the ownership was the one that decided to sign the Wilson contract early. Their concern was that Jackson would get extended and drive up his price if they waited. Rookie mistake.
Paton isn’t going anywhere. All of his decisions made sense at the time. The only decision that is hard to get out of is the extension and that wasn’t his call.
The Danimal
As much as we deserve a total tear down of the staff after this season I think Paton is going to get a stay of execution. Unless there is a GM candidate out there that would be a slam dunk to attract a new staff I think working with his scouting prowess may be the only draw we have for a new Head Clown. I don’t think he deserves to be let off the hook though, I wouldn’t be surprised if they reinstate the old Elway “executive VP of football operations” and hire someone who isn’t Paton’s boss in title but does hold the power to approve or veto all of Paton’s contract and hiring decisions leaving Paton to deal with drafts only until he proves himself.
And for the love of god start the off-season by kicking Wilson’s personal staff and wife out of the facility until he proves he can be a part of a team.

(Repost from weeks ago that I don’t think was read).
Please not another rookie head coach.
Our rookie head coaches in my lifetime (32 years) have been Wade Phillips* (had an interim stint w/another team previously), Josh McDaniels, Vance Joseph, Vic Fangio, and Nathaniel Hackett.
Our coaches with prior H.C. experience were Mike Shanahan, John Fox, and Gary Kubiak. It’s a world of difference between those two lists.
I look at this year’s team like the one in the McDaniels era, because that is what the record reflects. The next year we hired John Fox, who turned the team around and made us a functional organization again. We got a playoff win with Tim Tebow!
Please not another rookie head coach.
Give me Dan Quinn, if he’ll have us. I believe he can be like a John Fox and can correct the locker room culture and record.
Are you all burned out on rookie head coaches as much as I am?
