I wouldnt even mind your ludicrouis plan to trade russ and go 0-17 next year with caleb williams and 5ish 2nd round picks Patton can draft, you can fire him after that if you so please, at the very least it will give a reason to why the broncos are terrible when the other doctors in my hospital say “broncos country lets cry”

Watching these games make my eyes bleed. Carson wentz hasnt played since week 6 and still has more td passes then russ. I get laughed at by jets fans on a daily basis … all that being said i will be flying in for the cheifs game and look forward to seeing the bar and getting to take part in the tailgate! May all our eyes bleed together as misery loves company… Broncos Country, lets cry!

This is the right plan. You guys kept mentioning that the broncos would field half a legit NFL roster with 40% of the cap going toward Russ, who wouldn’t be on the team. But with how much salary they have on IR right now, are they really that far off from 80 mil of salary not playing right now? And they’ve still been competitive. Obviously we wouldn’t be great next year, but I think y’all are overstating how awful we’d be. I am in favor of plan trade Russ and tank for Caleb.

I want to give a big kudos to you guys. You have covered this team through all these miserable years, put up with clown commenters like me, and all the while produce great fun content. It is why we keep coming back for more here. You are the best.

What if we ran it back with everything we have now? Take a good look at the roster and spend a ton, and I mean a ton, on the offensive side. Let DreMont go and the other pieces and spend that money on the offense. I’d rather have a quality tackle/center than to give a DT 20 million plus.

Also, get a true fullback in the offense!

Did it feel like they were trying to get Russ his 300th TD pass on their lone scoring drive this past week, or was it just me?

This podcast made me laugh so hard listening to a befuddled RK lamenting how we’re now discussing how to get rid of Wilson in November after partying when he arrived in March.

This team sucks and when you suck it helps if you can laugh at yourself. Seeing and listening to Hackett and Wilson week after week saying “we’re going to look at everything, blah blah blah,” gets so frustrating. It’s time for them to just fess up that they just suck. I’m serious. It would be a great for Hackett to just say, “well the problem is I suck and i don’t know what I’m doing but I’ll never quit because I’m a fighter.”

Broncos Country, Lets Laugh

After watching Caleb Williams tape I can’t get the trade Russ and tank out of my mind. For decades we have been bad but not bad enough to get the top qb on the board.

If the Jets would be willing to entertain a trade would it be feasible to swap Russ for Zach Wilson? He sucks about as much as Russ this season, but would be a reset for both QBs and a more upside option than Rypien. His chapter with the Jets seems over. Thoughts?

The ONLY reason I think the tank plan is even in the realm of possibility is because this ownership is mostly not football people – they even admitted it.

I have a feeling the injuries will be reason enough to bring the big three next year (Hackett, Russ, and GP) and that’s not being talked about enough. The rest of this season is all about figuring out what parts of the scheme Russ thrives in and building on that, hopefully with some receivers coming back from injury.

I saw a report that Hackett has not lost the locker room, but Russ has lost some people. What do you guys think of this? What does Russ need to do to rally his team behind him completely?

Thanks for the fun pod yesterday, you guys are the only bright spot in my football fandom! It’s sad that day dreaming about the what the Broncos can do in the future is more fun that what’s going on mid-season.

I understand that the full tank and rebuild is highly unlikely but it’s probably what needs to be done. We have struggled for years since the Super Bowl, and avoiding a rebuild has cost us years of fun football. We need to stop retreading old QB’s and just commit to finding our guy. That may be easier said than done, but we aren’t having much success (since Manning) on vet QBs either. Its time to do the hard thing and start over. The thought of the next few years trying to fix things with Russ just bums me out.

The Penners/Waltons have to be embarrassed that this team got flexed out of primetime right? Not just that, but that the entire fanbase is rejoicing it!

Sunday Night Football is where every owner wants their team playing. The national games are the only way for me to even watch Broncos games with being out of region.
