While he was obviously heavily featured in the passing game, any idea why Javonte only got 7 carries when he’s averaging 6 yards a pop? While he was good too, just not sure why Gordon gets 12 carries and Williams only 7.

You boys are doing a great job.

Everything I wanted to comment has been addressed with great detail.

On to the Texans!

This team will still win 12. All of the other shit will get cleaned up.

My Boys! Sorry guys I gotta do it. I gotta bring up the conversation from schedule release. Playing the harder opponents in the beginning of the schedule would have faired better for us I believe. Now I could be wrong and this could get dusted under the rug by week 18 but a loss to a bad team may come back to bite us in the ass excuse my language. Anyway I still have faith in this team and I’m hopeful the excitement on the field continues to ramp up. Thank you guys for everything you do and all your hard work! Best Denver sports coverage out there!

I’m with Henry here, there was always going to be urgency this season in this division but despite our best predictions, there is always going to be a winnable game that you lose inexplicitly, likewise you’re gonna catch a break that you didn’t expect. These things average out over a season. The Bills lost to Jacksonville last year! The year the Bucs won the SB, they lost to the Bears and the Saints twice.

Not to overreact but Tennessee and the Rams may not be as formidable as we initially thought. You also had a loss to the Ravens, that is certainly winnable.

With Russ, we’re not out of any game. It’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Just wanted to say, what a big dick move of Coach Hackett to come out and take accountability for botching the 4th and 5 call. The sole fact he took accountability so publicly and so promptly completely washed away all the frustration of that loss. I know it may not be the same for guys who risk their bodies day in and day out to win games, but I HOPE that his acknowledgement would’ve gone a long way in the locker room and will continue to go a long way in players taking accountability themselves.

It’s unfortunate that a simple act of humility is such a big deal, but it is so rare among NFL head coaches and has been especially rare around these parts for the past couple years.

Sorry if this is lengthy! Tough loss this week. I litterally couldn’t sleep after watching that game. However, after the pain and suffering i tend to get positive! Without any preason, a bunch of terrible penalties, and the crowd making things extra difficult I think we are sitting here talking about how bad our defense looked for most of the game lol but we will bounce back and I’m super hyped for how we will look by the end of the season!! Lastly I’m from ny and will be in Denver for the 1st broncos cheifs game, will you be doing a tailgate for every home game? Also ill be stopping by the DNVR bar for the 1st time and couldnt be more excited!…. ps… Melvin gotta go!!!! Broncos country keep riding!

And I just had to add, im used to seeing vic vangio type coaches who can’t admit mistakes. So im sorry if its easy forget Hackett is new and made some mistakes. But being aware of his flaws wil help hims grow! He will make adjustments, just hacountry faith yall let’s do this broncos countrey

Other than fumbles, are you concerned about the red one offense. I saw during the game they showed the stat that Jeudy has 3 reception 0 TD in his career in the red zone. A little scary for a guy how can separate in a phone booth.

Hi boys, 3 quick observations from the game:
1: PS2 might be the best CB in the league.
2: Javonte with 11 freaking catches on 12 targets? You love to see it.
3: The mistakes that were made last night can absolutely be improved on with experience. Hackett will get an early chance to answer the biggest question we have about him: what happens when things don’t go well? It was a good first step to own up to the mistake. On to the Texans and truly welcoming Russ in as a Bronco. I have a feeling he’s going to go OFF.

Sorry for the multiple comments but I had to throw this in there: we’re way better off than Dallas right now! Imagine trading Cooper for nothing right before the market explodes, losing Cedrick Wilson, your LT gets hurt, you’ve already way overpaid Zeke, and now your QB is out and your OWNER is breaking the news that you are/now aren’t getting another QB because your HC is a plastic bag flailing in the wind. Yikes.

I’m not worried at all. It was a rough game (even more rough leaving the stadium while getting shit talked by Seahawks fans) but there is no way the Broncos make that many game altering mistakes in one game again. On to the Texans.

After some time to digest that performance, I don’t feel so bad. There were so many unique elements to that game, it’s hard to take anything from it.

That being said, from Richard Sherman to the fans and many in between, everyone seems to be reveling in how we got the same old Russ. How he’s innefective in the redzone, holds the ball too long, and a litany of other “issues” they had with him while he was in Seattle. I saw one Hawks fan say watching Geno behind center was “a breath of fresh air”…ooof, we’ll see how long they feel that way…Simply, how much should Broncos country be concerned about what’s being said? Fan slander is one thing, but when ex-teammates are piling on, it’s hard to ignore. What’s your level of concern when you see things said like this?

I am not worried at all about the loss. The offense had no problem moving the ball and the defense looked like the No Fly Zone lite in the second half. I expect the Broncos to be aggressive against the Texans and to stomp them. I also think 12-5 is still a good prediction as I expect the Broncos to take at least one game in which they aren’t expected to win.

After a long hibernation I’m jonesing for some flickering candlelight, a baker’s dozen of RK specials and a Pleasure Horse intro song. Also, turns out the guy living in my crib illegally is from Montana and apparently is some sort of fanboy of your CU Buffs writer. I myself have myriad idea logical problems with the Buffs organization, so I don’t know why this chap would seek out my abode I. Which to squat (rathe tidy fellow, tbh). We’ll he’s in custody now so we can all sleep easy.

Also, I need some Larry Den Junior takes about obscure pundit Bronco takes, stat.

I know this puts a lot of pressure on the team and coaches, but I feel like almost every game is a must win due the division and even division we are in and how hard it will be to make the playoffs. If we aren’t in a “win-now” mode then we every game is not a must win but just my thoughts.

Do you think the Broncos would be willing to trade Melvin Gordon to the 49ers? The 49ers need help at RB and I think Gordon could fit in. What would acceptable compensation look like? Full disclosure, I have Javonte in fantasy

Fellas!

Arvada Luke Jr. has arrived! We came home from the hospital listening to the most recent thing I had on, THE DNVR Broncos pod.

I had forgotten how a Bronco loss can throw you off emotionally. But, I bounced back faster than previously, due to two factors: Hackett saying he messed up, and the arcade of Denver Eeyore fans trying to dunk on him for not going for it. Absolutely ridiculous treatment considering what happened. So I guess I might be having my first “get off my lawn” moment as a new dad.

I have a hot triple take from this weekend , in order of heat:
1. Peyton will lowkey have an unofficial advisory status with the Broncos this year, as he obviously still cares how they do.
2. Vic for sure would have put this loss on players, but even Coach Kubiak wouldn’t have taken a level of responsibility that Coach Hackett did.
3. Identifying problems and taking responsibility for them is the first step in fixing them, which is why the mea culpa was so important and, to me at least, a good sign. This loss makes it more likely we WIN in Arrowhead this year, and I’m taking the moneline.

Cheers,
Arvada Luke
