DNVR Rugby Podcast: Rugby Team Liaison Officer Jason Scrogham

Colton kicks off the show with “The Breakdown” presented by O’Neills by previewing USA Rugby’s Rugby World Cup qualifier vs. Chile, The Rugby Showcase, and All of the Rugby You Can Watch this weekend presented by Wintergreen (0:00-7:36). After “The Breakdown”, Colton chats with Chilean Rugby Team Liaison Officer Jason Scrogham about how he got into helping out international teams that pass through Colorado, his responsibilities, and some fun tasks he’s had to complete over the years (7:37-30:25). After the interview presented by GuardLab, Colton talks about some USA-Chile matchup numbers in the Stat of the Week presented by Catapult, assigns some “Required Reading”, and closes the show with “The Loop” presented by First Bank (30:26-34:03).

Jason Scrogham has served as the team liaison officer to several international rugby teams that have traveled through Infinity Park since 2018. After getting his start with the Fijian women’s sevens team at the 2018 HSBC Sevens in Glendale, Scrogham has worked with almost all of the teams that have come to town since. Scrogham has spent the last month working with the Chilean men’s national team as they prepare for the second leg of their Rugby World Cup qualifier against the USA Eagles in Glendale on Saturday, July 16.
