1. Perhaps the trait that popped the most from Christian Braun in his NBA Summer League debut was how quickly he transitions from defense to sprinting on the fast break. He’s a fast sprinter but more impressive is how there is no lag time between when he sees that the defensive rebound has been secured and when he first hits the afterburners. As the league’s best outlet passer, Nikola Jokic will love this trait.

2. Some of Peyton Watson’s upside won’t be unlocked until he improves his footwork. In the clip below, his quick, long stride is negated by the fact that he leads the drive with his left hand.

3. The good news is that even with the raw footwork, Watson still is able to get into the paint and see over the defense to make plays. There is reason to believe that he can become a very good slasher and drive and kick shot creator if he can focus on his fundamentals.

4. The most impressive part of Collin Gillespie’s NBA Summer League debut was his feel for the game and anticipation on both ends of the court.
